Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Absolutely terrible from the start. False advertising. Price increases without warning. Impossible to get ahold of anyone working there. I inquired about a unit with an advertised price of $191. By the time they finally got back to me, the price had jumped to $233 and they said they would not give me the advertised price. Every month the price goes up without any notification and now I’m being charged $325. When you try to call, it always goes straight to voicemail and no one ever returns your call. Do not use this storage facility. ... Read more

Very helpful and pleasant We went yesterday with several loads. When we got there it was extremely busy with no carts. The attendant was so kind and found us 3 dolly trucks that we used until a cart was available. Super nice! ... Read more

I refuse to believe these aren't botted/fake reviews. That or they were made in the first month of rental. Originally I said the facilities are fine. I can't even leave that part in. I moved all my stuff out this weekend and all of my boxes were wet. The entire floor was wet in my unit. Bottom of all my boxes were nearly soaked through from moisture. The biggets issue is they will nearly DOUBLE your rent whenever they feel like it. The listed promotional price online for my unit was $65 a month. When I actually completed the rental setup, it was $120. I didn't even get the promo price. Now after 3 months they upped my rent to $181. It's crazy to me that this is somehow legal. I moved out to use a friend's unit elsewhere. My friend has the same sized unit at another local facility and his promo price was $45 and the full price now is only $65. I don't know where Public Storage is getting their prices from, but go literally anywhere else in town. Doing my research online now I've read a ton of similar reviews across the country for Public Storage doing this to everyone. They will continue jacking up the price on you at ridiculous rates. It's their standard business model apparently. ... Read more

Thanks to Brian and the team for making the move out experience simple and straightforward. Moving states can be intimidating, but knowing that the kind folks at this Public Storage were willing and eager to help me close out my account from states away helped tremendously. ... Read more

Unexpectedly had to store the full contents of our home for a quick closing. Not ever storing to this magnitude before, Reba quickly put our minds at ease finding the best solutions to fit our needs. She was efficient, but also made sure to point out all of the details we would need along the way…and even saved us a bit where she could! Moving has a lot of anxiety, but I’m feeling much better knowing this part is checked off the list. Thank you, Reba, for your warm welcome! ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
