Don’t rent from Bennett’s storage. I had a storage unit there for five years that I rarely went to. When I moved out of it, they refused to give me back my security deposit claiming that I did damage to the unit. The damage they claim I did was rust and corrosion. I will include their own pictures. Everything I had there was either in cardboard boxes or Rubbermaid containers (set on two aluminum ladders to protect it all from the moisture of the floor), with the exception of our camping tents and my toolbox. It seems to me that rust and corrosion are the cost of doing business when you own a metal building. The rust and corrosion occurred where moisture obviously got in from the outside. There are always puddles on this property after a rain. When we asked who we could speak to, we were told by the girl at the desk that it was the decision the owners made, and that I couldn’t talk to them about it. This is bad business, because they know you are not going to sue them in small claims court as the security deposit is such a small amount. ?They are crooks! ... Read more

We rented a storage unit for almost 3 months, and chose Bennett storage because it was close to our house and new. We put items up off the ground as suggested by facility. Recently we took our items out and found that quite a bit of our items had mold and fungus. There was a giant puddle all the way across the entrance of our unit causing us to either step in or jump across the water to get in. . After the unit was empty, we saw puddles of water in our unit. The maintenance guy said that was impossible and didn't seem to care less. The water came in from the small units on the side of ours because there is no sealing or caulking between units and the drainage is awful and create huge puddles all throughout the facility. I have rented many storage units over time and never experienced water puddling on the floor. Be prepared to keep your items off the floor because if we get rain your storage unit will get water on the floor. ... Read more
