I was recently shopping for a storage unit near my home. I looked at three or four before I checked out the Public Storage facility on Accomack Drive. Stacy was by far the most knowledgeable and helpful of all the people I dealt with during my search. She answered all my questions and explained the various units in a polite and professional manner. My situation changed and I didn’t need a unit but if and when I do I will definitely go back and talk to Stacy. ... Read more

I’ve used several storage places over the years, but Public Storage ranks right up at the top. A large part of this has been my experience with Stacy. She has that rare blend of high level professionalism and knowledge mixed with being sweet, kind and helpful. I couldn’t rate Public Storage or Stacy any higher! Very pleased with the facility and service received. ... Read more

The facility is always clean, and the front desk staff are consistently kind and helpful. However, be aware that rent increases can be significant. Our rent went up $100 per month, and when we asked if we could drop down to one unit to make it more affordable, we were told no. We currently rent two 10x25 units, which are listed as a 20x25, so clearing out just one doesn’t really solve the issue. Unfortunately, with the amount of storage we need, we don’t have many options. On our last visit, we also spoke with two other renters who said their rates continue to increase as well. ... Read more

It was an easy seamless process to get my storage started. Plus they had a great deal for first timers that was easy on my wallet. The whole process was very easy online! The lady inside helped me when I arrived because I made a mistake and she was very nice and knowledgeable. ... Read more

First off, management is wonderful and very pleasant to work with. That being said, be prepared to have your rent go up A LOT. We could go online and rent the same units for less than we have been paying but we would have to move out and back in. Our rent is going up almost $100 a month. That is 1/3 of the bill. I understand that rates sometimes have to increase but that seems drastic. ... Read more

Working with Summer to reconcile my account when there were some payment issues went so smoothly. She was sympathetic to my situation. She explained what I would need to do to remedy the issue and checked back a few days later to see if it had been resolved. I'd give her more stars if I could. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
