I can’t believe how amazing this place was for us! I had originally reserved a U-Haul out of Marksville but my reservation was moved to Bunkie without my knowledge and since I had reservations for a storage unit here, they actually had a truck to rent us, albeit bigger than the one I had planned to rent. The long and short of it is Cindy waited for us to come in from Marksville since my original reservation had been moved and the facility was closed she was pressed for time but went over everything we needed to know. As luck would have it we couldn’t move anything because the house had been completely vandalized and all our belongings ruined but we let Cindy know as soon as we could. The contract is flexible so we weren’t locked into since we didn’t need it. This all happened on Easter weekend on top of everything else. We just so appreciate all her help and genuine concern about our situation especially after hearing it was all destroyed and we didn’t even need the storage unit or truck. We do plan to move back at some point and will definitely work with her again when needed!! ... Read more

So far this place has been great. The customer service beats all. The facility is good quality, no complaints at all. I like that both sites are gated. None of my stuff has gotten wet (it has rained nearly every day this summer) and i don’t have to worry about creepy crawly things in my storage. ... Read more

If I could give this place a -5 I would. I rented a storage room from them for over 4 years. The last 3 years I haven't been back to check on my belongings but traveled 15 hours this week to pick everything up and bring to our home. Wow was I surprised. When I opened the door it looked like my belongings had been in a flood, so much water damage and caked on dirt/mud all over things. I had to trash over 80% of my belongings and valuables due to damage. While loading up what could possibly be salvaged and trying to dispose of the damaged items the manager harassed us several times and was very rude to us. When I told her about the damaged belongings she told me " it's not my problem and no one told me anyhow". I explained that I hadn't been there in 3 years and that I was telling her at that time as I had just found out. Again she told me that it's not her problem and I needed to get all trash (my damaged belongings) away from there and not leave anything. This lady totally dismissed me and showed no concern at all for the loss of items. The facility dumpster was already full from other customers so I had to haul numerous truck loads of damaged items away. If you at all value your items please stay clear of this storage facility. I was a loyal paying customer for over 4 years, lost my valuables and was dismissed by management like I had no valid concern. I'm not sure if the facility did indeed flood and they are hiding/keeping this information from customers or there is faulty construction of the buildings but find another facility to store your items.... STAY AWAY FROM HERE! Regarding owners reply; Of course you would blame the Louisiana humidity, I don't blame you- seems like a reasonable defense right!!!! But is still does not explain why there was dried mud or dirt dried all over everything that was at ground level. Like I said, it reminded me of something that had just been through a flood. I don't know what happened, just stating what it looked like. Also what is the excuse for the ill mannered facility manager.... I still can't believe her response when I attempted to inform her about all of the ruined items and why we had so much rubbish "oh well, not my problem... And besides, no one told me". Very professional! My only intention here is to ensure anyone thinking of using your facility is aware of what they will encounter! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that A + Storage - 4625 LA-28 Hwy has to offer. These amenities include Gate and Unstaffed Location. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
