I have been with this facility for a few months now and having had other facilities in the past, I can say hands down, this is my favorite and just... It's the best storage facility that I have ever had in my life. I struggle with processing, and I need a lot. And I mean, a lot of time to be able to sort through and organize my things. I need safety, as well as time and accessibility. This facility gives me all of that, they've allowed me to work on this hugely emotional and overwhelming experience in my life by providing an environment that feels secure but also independent and open. Its obvious that everything is on camera and the doors are all locked with pin code access. Since it is secure, there's no pressure of someone's presence watching you or the anxiety of not knowing when a random employee is going to appear and when. The building is big enough that even spending an entire day and night going through things I will maybe encounter a couple of people on the same floor passing by and twice I've encountered an employee doing their normal duties and upkeep. I don't feel judged, even at night I feel comfortable by myself coming and going for whatever I need. I can work through this task the way I need to without feeling as though I'm pressured or having to worry about time constraints. I struggle with adhd and it's difficult enough as is getting through something as monumental as condensing all my transitions and travels into 1 storage unit from the multiple places I've had things stored throughout New England either in Units or with friends/family. This year I'm working to combine all of what I've got into 1 place. At the same time, I actively work on my art at the nearby maker space Lowell Makes and need to keep extra supplies to work on projects while still being able to access them at any time without much trouble. This facility is a wonderful blessing that enables me to keep going forward, at my own pace and I'm very grateful for them. The staff are wonderful, facility is clean. Other renters I've bumped into while there have all been respectful and kind. Truly a great experience. Thank you so much. ... Read more

We have had a great experience at The Storage Solution in Drum Hill - it is a very clean facility with great customer service. The check-in process was seamless. Doug showed us to our unit and when he realized there was an AC vent in the back taking up some space, he offered to move us to a different unit immediately. The unit was big enough for us even with the vent, so we told him it was okay. He said he would give us a discount on the unit because of the vent which was so nice. Great prices, great customer service, and a great facility. We highly recommend! ... Read more

My family needed a storage unit to move out of our 4 bedroom home. The Manager Doug at the Drumhill location was amazing. He took his time showing us each size storage unit and was honest about what we needed. He was so great I referred my sister there as well. They also have small sized units that I’m thinking of personally using for myself to store seasonal clothes and decorations. If your in need of a storage unit go see Doug, you’ll be happy you did. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
