Read some helpful reviews of Guardian Self Storage, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I had an amazing experience with Guardian Self Storage! From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly friendly, professional, and helpful. They took the time to answer all my questions and helped me choose the best options to making moving easier. The facility itself is clean, secure, and well-maintained, and the assistance I received was above and beyond, making the process easy and stress-free. Truly outstanding customer service and I highly recommend them to support you with your moving and storage needs! ... Read more

I used this storage facility for my move from Washington state to Maine. I needed a place for a container to be delivered, time to unpack it to a unit while I looked for a house to buy in Maine. The owner/manager was super nice to work with on the phone while I figured this all out from Washington. They moved some U-Haul trucks for me for the 1-800 Pack Rat people to drop off the 16 foot container and then let the container stay there for three days until that company could pick it up. I then had movers come with a large truck to help me move out of the unit and they were helpful with them as well. The price was right also!! Super recommend!! ... Read more

Have rented U-Haul trucks here for business (of which they have a good inventory as well as a few trailers). Brad is very friendly, helpful and organized when it comes to processing your rental going out and checking it back in. The facility is large and has a variety of storage options from unheated to conditioned storage and is easy to get to off Washington Street. If you need a U-Haul or storage in the local Franklin-Bellingham-Mendon-Wrentham region this is a good place to consider. ... Read more

Rented a U-Haul van last weekend. I called the U-Haul dispatch service around 10:30pm on Friday night 1/14/22 . She arranged a rental van for me, located at Guardian Self Storage, to pick up on Saturday. (Who knew one could rent it so quickly and at night after regular work hours) Brad Richards at Guardian was super. Friendly, efficient. The van was big, new and clean. It drove really nicely. There was a back-up camera on the rearview mirror. The side-view mirrors had two views. The van was warm (1/15/22 was a very very cold day) I was able to keep the van until Monday morning for the same price if needed. For after hours return, they have a code to enter and a key drop. Very helpful. My experience with Guardian Self Storage and U-Haul was very positive. Thank you Brad Richards. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.
