How do you auction off a unit I've had for 10 years without notifying me or making a phone call? I called to provide my new address over a year ago and to make sure my payments were being automatically taken as my set up and that there was no issue and I was told all was good and that they would call me if there was any issues so I assumed all was fine and didn't worry about it. Apparently this new company took over and sold my unit. I had no idea bc I've been busy with my father passing away in hospice in Baltimore then my mother was diagnosed with dementia and I'm the only caregiver and working full-time. I assumed if there was a problem someone would call me or tell me but I was not notified at all!!! Didn't receive any letter or certified mail or lien or anything at all!! Now all my items are gone??? Who does business like this? Why wasn't I contacted if there was a problem. How can you sell my entire unit just bc you took over the company and no one ever called me to let me know there was a problem? I know they had my phone number in the system. How does this happen no one can make a phone call? I've called 5 times and no one will call me back??? I get a different person each time I call. I deserve answers. I received nothing in the mail and no phone calls from anyone your company apparently took over and the previous party never entered my new address so where did the supposed mail go to I didn't receive any delinquent notices or phone calls of any sort I was totally unaware of the issue WHY DID NO ONE CALL ME ??? I DIDNT GET ANY NOTICES I MOVED AND IF MAIL WAS RETURNED TO YOU SOMEONE SHOULD HAVE CALLED ME. Still no phone call from management and I've called for days and left several messages and always someone different answering phones. I never received notices or any type of mailings so wouldn't you think someone would call the customer especially if there is no email on file and only a phone number ... Read more

Since ownership of the facility changed from Delmarva Self Storge to Ocean City Self Storage I have attempted to address a billing problem. There is no management on site and the number goes to a call center located in Tenessee. The call takers are not management and cannot make decisions. The call takers advise that the matter will be referred to management and someone will contact me in 24 to 48 hours. Despite several weeks of repeated calls no one has ever called me back to remedy the billing situation. This is posstively one of the worst management situations I have ever encountered. We have stored our RV at the facility for 4 years and it has been great. The onsite managers with Delmarva Self Storage were wonderful. It is ashame that they had to sell out to a corporation that cannot take the time to talk with a customer. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
