Poor management, staff turns over a great deal, constantly changing the “rules” and rates. Staff doesn’t return phone calls, the gates go offline and you cannot get in. Trying to fix the place up lately, but basic convenience like lighting, internal electricity and maintenance are lacking. ... Read more

Definitely thinking about moving. I came in 8/13/21 to find my lock missing. Two other units in the area were also missing there locks. Of course the gate is left wide open because of the gate issues. I contacted somebody from the Holland office and I told them the situation that that gate needs to be closed that that gate needs to be fixed so it's constantly closed. I returned Sunday 8/15 to find another lock cut. Fortunately management worked with being refunded my rent for August and September and I ended up going elsewhere. So beware I wouldn't go here if you're looking for a place to store stuff. ... Read more

I moved my stuff here temporarily (two months) while in the middle of a move. I came back to my indoor unit, and everything was flooded. Cross Creek says they are released of all liability because of the contract. With how much water was in my unit(about 4 inches of water), I have a hard time believing they don’t know that their units are not secure from the elements. The units are not sealed with cement, and I can reach my hand underneath the “wall” into neighboring units. Im sure the surrounding units were just as soaked, but they didn’t have any record of my unit having water damage. Additionally, there were remnants of rats in the unit. Be careful and get renter’s insurance! ... Read more

Horrible management! Kiosk allowed us to rent a unit in a hallway. Took our money and sent us an email confirmation. Went to put our items inside the unit and someone else has a lock on OUR door. Tried to clear things up with the kiosk ?? but there is no record of our rental!? Strange since the payment came out IMMEDIATELY. No way to reach a human via phone since it ALWAYS goes to voicemail and they never call back. Awful! Avoid if possible!! ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
