I am renting one of the smaller units which is great for an apartment-sized amount of things. Here is my feedback: Pros: The location is convenient, safe, and easy to get into. There are CCTV cameras located on every row of units. The is clean and the inside construction is in good shape. Cons: I started renting in December of 2024 with a discounted rate for the first three months. The cost has since increased (from the standard, non-discounted rate); an increase of 43.5%! I understand the general cost of goods has been going up but how has that affected storage unit companies to the point where a nearly 50% increase from a renters original rate is necessary? Or is this just taking advantage of the economic market for profit gains? Out of everything, this has been my largest issue with SROA. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

To open your storage unit door, start by unlocking it, whether it uses a traditional padlock or a Bluetooth-enabled smart lock. Once unlocked, grab the bottom handle and lift or pull up the roll-up door until it’s fully open.

If you’re using the unit for the first time, make sure the lock is properly removed before opening the door to avoid damage.

Security helps protect your belongings while they’re in storage and gives you peace of mind between visits. Many self storage facilities use a combination of features such as video surveillance, gated access, on-site management, and well-lit premises to help deter unauthorized access.

At Storage Rentals of America - 350 Romence Road, available security amenities may include Security Camera, Gate, designed to help keep your items protected.

Yes, most standard vehicles can be stored in self storage units. A 10x20 unit typically provides enough space for a car, while outdoor or designated parking areas may be available for larger vehicles.
