Edit 2 (March 17th, 2025): I got fed up with waiting and cleaned the unit myself. I still have had no contact from them, and no one seems to bother picking up. I tried calling a few more times today with no answer. There's no point in leaving a message anymore, because the four previous voicemails I left between February 27th and today haven't had a return call. What if there was some sort of emergency at the facility? No one could get ahold of them and let them know, because no one answers or returns calls. That's very concerning. This will be my final edit unless I can somehow actually get ahold of them. Edit (March 14th, 2025): I still haven't heard back from this place. No response to the messages I left weeks ago, and no one picks up when I call. I left a message yesterday as well. I tried calling 10 different times throughout the day today and not a single one was answered. This is absolutely ridiculous. Sadly, my experience with this place has been less than ideal so far. I acquired one of their 5x10 units on February 5th of this year through their online form, and I have yet to use it. First, there was a delay in getting the lock from them, since they provide the locks. I was told that they would leave the lock on the floor in the unit, so the next day I went to check and the lock wasn't there. It was finally dropped off a few days after that. The first time I checked for the lock was when I first saw the unit in person, and it was dirty on the inside, with some sort of crusty, dried up mud/dirt on the walls, as shown in the pictures. I called on Feb. 16th to tell them about the state of the unit, and the lady on the phone told me that on Feb. 17th it would be cleaned that day. I stopped in the next day and saw that nothing was done, so I called again on the 22nd to tell her, and apparently the guy who went to clean it had gone to the wrong unit, despite me telling her which one was mine. She told me that it would be cleaned that following week. Fast forward to today, March 10th, 2025. I stopped by today and it still hasn't been touched. I had called and left messages on Feb. 27th, 28th, and March 6th, and I still haven't heard back from them. In the message I left on the 27th, I asked if I could get a refund for the month of February since I wasn't able to use the unit that whole month, but again, it's been radio silence for the most part. The lady on the phone has been nice the few times I've been in contact, but the overall experience has been terrible. She assured me that I shouldn't have to clean the unit myself before I use it, so that's why I haven't done it myself, but I never expected it to take so long to get it done. ... Read more

This is one of the cleanest and best maintained storage facilities I've ever come across. It was constructed with a material system called, ICF or Insulated Concrete Forms. As it was described to me, it's basically a foam wall construction that is tied together with heavy rebar and than 8 inches of concrete is poured inside the foam forms to make a wall. The biggest benefit to this is in its insulting properties. During the coldest and darkest time during winters, the inside of the units feels about 60 degrees or better. During the hottest weeks of summer, it doesn't seem to get warmer than about 72 degrees. To me that provides a whole lot of peace of mind in knowing that my stuff I'm currently forced to store (due to space constraints at current home) will not be subjected to the extremes a Minnesota climate will throw at you. The other major benefit was the actual strength of the buildings themselves. As the walls are 11 inches thick (3 inches foam and 8 inches poured concrete) you basically feel like you are in a bomb shelter. It's great knowing that if there was ever a severe storm and tornado that were to come through, the likelihood of the structure being destroyed is highly unlikely and improbable. You combine these safety concerns with a wonderful management group and consistent property management (lanes plowed during winter and swept consistently during not) and perfect location right off 35, and this will hopefully be the only place I ever store my things again. Prices are incredibly competitive and contracts very negotiable in terms of duration. This place gets my two thumbs up and my recommendation to anyone in NE metro area looking for storage ideas. ... Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Minnesota Lakes Mini Storage - 22092 Everton Avenue North has to offer. These amenities include Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate and Parking. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Minnesota Lakes Mini Storage - 22092 Everton Avenue North can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 50 to 400 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Minnesota Lakes Mini Storage - 22092 Everton Avenue North come at a variety of prices, starting from $60 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $320 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
