Devastated - burns sales records I can confirm all the details are accurate of a previous 1star review. Ownership of this company selfishly stole and as they put it, “picked through” many “worthless” items of my late fathers. As they told me on the phone, the rest of our family heirlooms with immense emotional value were thrown away. All due to an auto-pay getting cancelled as my father passed away. The company needed to simply follow MN law and send a letter to my mother notifying her, and all could have been avoided. If something so unbelievably simple was skipped during their normal course of business, should you trust them to care for your items? Nope. Plenty of options close by. Keep looking, avoid this place please. Also they lied and said they sent letters. We called and asked for proof, and the owner hilariously told me that he burns invoices and communications with customers. You can decide if you believe that. ... Read more

Absolutely devastated by how this business handled our family’s situation. My parents rented a storage unit here for over 3 years. After my father passed away unexpectedly, the automatic payments from their joint account stopped. The storage company never made any effort to notify my mother that payments were no longer being received — no letters, no emails, no formal notices — just a call to my dad’s cell phone, even though he was deceased. During a time of deep grief, it took our family over a year to be emotionally ready to go through his belongings. When we finally went to the unit, we discovered we had been locked out. The owners were immediately combative and hostile. We then learned they had already emptied the unit — without any legal notice, warning, or proper process. This was a clear violation of the law. When confronted, they lied, became defensive, and even went so far as to accuse our family of being at fault for not dealing with it sooner. They refused to provide any documentation, claimed they don’t keep records and “burn all past invoices,” and tried to downplay what was lost by saying there was “nothing of value” in the unit. But that unit held the last of my father’s possessions — irreplaceable family photos, videos, heirlooms, clothing, and collectibles. We consulted a lawyer, who confirmed we absolutely had a case and that this business had violated legal requirements by not providing formal notice. Unfortunately, pursuing legal action would’ve cost thousands of dollars — a heartbreaking decision that felt like adding insult to injury. I fully understand that businesses have the right to reclaim units after nonpayment. But there are legal procedures for a reason — and more importantly, there’s such a thing as human decency. If they had sent proper written notice to the address on file, this would have been resolved right away. This company failed in every possible way — legally, ethically, and morally. I would strongly warn others to avoid doing business here, especially if you’re storing anything that holds personal or emotional value. To add to your response, the address on file was absolutely current, you just failed to send a letter. ... Read more

Wonderful new storage units at a great price. Easy 24/7 access with gate code. The best thing are the owners; they could not be easier and nicer to work with. They are very down to earth and work really hard to make sure you are happy and everything goes smoothly. ... Read more

Do NOT RENT here!!!! You have been warned! Rented storage unit and had water coming into the unit huge puddles of standing water that soaked my belongings and ruined my furniture. The dirt roads in the storage facility flood and make it very difficult to get to your unit without getting stuck and it tracks mud and dirt into your unit and vehicle what a mess ?? Also, I paid all my rent on time and owners have refused to reimburse me my initial deposit after I have called three times asking for the deposit to be returned and have received NOTHING after months of waiting!!! They stated they had a list of people they have not returned deposits to and they plan on getting to it “soon”. Further follow up calls and now they state they are looking into why I never had my deposit returned to me and then I never hear anything. I am sorry but that’s considered theft at this point Please avoid this place unless you want to have water getting your belongings soaked, dealing with a mud pit, and not getting your deposit back!!! You have been warned ?? ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Lindstrom Storage Solutions - 12200 Lake Lane has to offer. These amenities include Drive-Up Access, Security Camera and Gate. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Lindstrom Storage Solutions - 12200 Lake Lane can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 50 to 400 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Lindstrom Storage Solutions - 12200 Lake Lane come at a variety of prices, starting from $60 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $200 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
