Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 2516 Wabash Avenue, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

This was the most stressful 2 days of my life. My boyfriend and I needed to rent a unit for only a week because we’re in the process of moving. I hear good things about this company so why not rent one? We set everything up to move in August 29th. We see our codes aren’t activated and nobody is around to activate them with our ID verification because NOBODY IS THERE? We call, no answer. Okay fine maybe they went home for the day, we’ll come back the next during office hours to get in. We come to see a whole line at the office, many not working codes, nobody there yet again. At this point, I call customer service only for the agent to be no help either. He says he can’t verify our ID over the phone or give us access. He did however call the managers of this location, no answer. I then get transferred to a nearby locations phone. I tell them my problem and the angels that they are helped (finally). We got our codes, with no help from our actual location. Anyways we get to our unit to see it’s covered in dirt. Was not cleaned between rentals at all, not even sure why it was available to be rented. So now we have to clean up before we even out our stuff in. Overall avoid this place. ... Read more

If your reading this, and you've come searching for answers, I may not have them, but together we may find the truth. If this sounds like what your looking for (other than a new place to store your belongings) than make sure and check out the pictures ive posted with this review. Current renters only please. Oh, and before I forget, let me sprinkle in a cautionary statement to the entrepreneurial folks who manage this organization: Before you go flagging my review, just think about how much worse this could be. I mean gosh, I gave you a whole five stars more than you deserve. There are other platforms on the web, and your a recognizable brand. The right content in the wrong places and... you get the idea. For the record- other than the bogus reviews that were planted from fake accounts, every positive comment that has been written about Kevin is totaly spot on. Kevin, im sorry that you have gotten tangled up in this mess. You deserve way better. Your one of the most approachable guys I've ever met and I instantly trusted you from the first conversation we had. I like you so much, that it is making it difficult to make rational decisions regarding this delema, and damn it, you owe me a beer for that, later! For now, just know that if things don't turn out the way you want with these people, you can come work with me, and ill never treat you like these people have. ... Read more

Kevin was so helpful! He went above and beyond helping us with our complicated move and storage needs. He is so friendly and makes sure his customers are taken care of. I highly recommend Public Storage! ... Read more

Kevin is fantastic. Great in-person and phone customer service. It's nice to talk to an actual human being these days. I do not want to talk to AI or computer messages. It was great to have all my questions answered in-person. Kevin was kind enough to show me the units so I could decide which size was best. I am renting at Public Storage because of Kevin. Kevin gets 5 stars. However, the facility itself needs a deep clean and the roof being fixed was terribly noisy. I felt bad for Kevin having to deal with all the noise while he was helping customers. Kevin represents the best of customer service and also deserves to have least two assistants for all the work he was doing to keep the facility in good shape by himself. Give this man a raise and a promotion (and extra hands to assist with the work on site!)!! Exceptional customer service is rare these days and Kevin is the best I've met in a long time anywhere. ... Kevin and Sam were absolutely wonderful and really helped me get my storage figured out. They helped me at every step and really went out of their way to make sure I was all set. I would recommend this location to everyone I know, and would give more than 5 stars if I could. ... Read more

Closes at 6 on the week and 5 on weekends? They raise your rent after a few months so don't stay long you'll get a 30 day notice. I have a Uhaul storage I've had all my camping equipment in for over two years still the same rate. Use this place for 4 months tops. And they use a lock system where the actual cylinder comes out so they get the lock money guaranteed you can't use a regular lock so just fyi you don't get conned online you're forced to get theirs. As crooked as you can get typical bait and switch. A lot of these good reviews seem fake filter the bad and see what people are saying. ... Read more

I switched over from Extra Space Storage for my businesses, whom I had been with for a couple years. Public Storage does not have the most up-to-date facility, but it excels in having mobile gate access and drive-up access. I also have to commend this location for having an amazing facilities manager. Kevin was knowledgeable, flexible, friendly and readily assisted in walking me through the process for setting up my new storage units. He has been great to work with. I was able to get my units as close to each other as possible while getting a reasonable price. Overall, I highly recommend this facility. Happy so far! ... Read more

Sure, it might not be the newest facility out there, but it's clean, secure, convenient and very well managed. Kevin in the main office is fantastic -- knowledgeable, understanding, and really helpful. I've rented a few storage units over the years now, and this location has been one of the better experiences. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Public Storage - 2516 Wabash Avenue has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Keyless Unit Access, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Public Storage - 2516 Wabash Avenue can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 25 to 367 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Public Storage - 2516 Wabash Avenue come at a variety of prices, starting from $34 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $457 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
