We rented a storage unit and it was clean and dry. They were grading the lot when we were moving in, they were kind and always answered the phone when I called. I am extremely happy with their services. ... Read more

I recently started renting a storage unit at the Central St. location in Buckner, MO, and I’m very impressed with the facility. It’s clear they care about maintaining the space; everything is kept clean, and they’ve even regraded the gravel for a smoother experience. Security is top-notch, with bright lighting all around and cameras for added peace of mind. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a safe and well-kept storage option! ... Read more

When we first moved in we had requested a certain sized unit, but because we didn't actually measure it we were given a slightly larger unit, and didn't realize that until the first bill. Then we had ongoing issues with the door that eventually were resolved months later. Then another Company took over and raised the monthly rent. I guess that wasn't enough, so they concocted a (non)insurance scheme to milk even MORE money from their clientele. And I need to address the fact that the unit had ongoing water issues so bad that we had to put everything on pallets. Some items got damaged before we could get enough pallets. It is my opinion that the water intrusion issue is because of a grade problem that seems to funnel rainwater into the front of the building, and under the door. That was never addressed in the two years we were customers. Fortunately, we were able to secure a dryer, less expensive unit and moved. The management at Turning Point were very friendly and easy to work with, and they did communicate well using email and text messaging. However, I would not recommend, and I will never be their client again. ... Read more

My only real complaints are the price and security or lack there of. The rent started at 60 a month. Then to 80 and then 100. Which is about normal for a storage unit. However I had to replace my padlock due to them being broken or vandalism more times than I can count. When I moved our belongings out, my padlock was gone and they had a security lock on it, which is nice, however I was never notified that it was broken into. When we moved out we were missing several things as well as boxes being damaged by water. I was able to get in contact with the management whenever I needed so that brought my review up a star or 2. Just frustrating to pay $100 a month and have to replace things and throw away destroyed things from water damage. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Turning Point Storage - 1211 South Sibley Road has to offer. These amenities include Drive-Up Access, Contactless Renting, Gate, Unstaffed Location, Parking, Online Payment and RV Storage. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Turning Point Storage - 1211 South Sibley Road can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 50 to 540 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Turning Point Storage - 1211 South Sibley Road come at a variety of prices, starting from $25 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $150 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
