We've been using St. Louis RV Storage for several years. The prices are good and the service is exceptional. We had several issues with our electrical system and Al was very helpful with his technical knowledge and with making arrangements to help us work on the system. In addition to having great service, they are investing in facility upgrades. It's a great place to store your equipment! ... Read more

St Louis RV Storage was recommended to us a few years back for indoor boat storage by a current patron and friend, . Since then, we have added our motorhome and a newer boat. Al and the team are incredible. Concierge service with boat and/or RV ready and waiting every time. When we sold our first boat, they also provided over and beyond help in showing/selling our  original boat. With the Concierge service, we don't have to worry about strangers milling about, others running into our vehicles, etc. They also have other great services, washing, selling and full RV Service shop,  to name a few. It makes for a super convenient experience for an RV owner. Anything they can't handle, they can surely recommend quality service providers. before we purchased our RV, they showed those for sale by their patrons that were on their lot as well as provide tons of advice and feedback for those that were elsewhere. When we first started doing business, we knew none of them. Now we would truly say we've made great friends! ... Read more

I don't generally give reviews but in this case, I have to give a huge shout out to St. Louis RV Storage, in particular the manager Al. I went to pick up my camper after hours which Al stayed open for me to do only to run into a mechanical problem with my left jack on my 5th wheel. Thought my weekend camping was going to be a bust with really no options at 5:45 at night. Al's response - Oh no, we're getting you fixed up so you can go camping. With the use of Hawk's RV Service (also closed) we determined the problem which was a sheared screw, replaced it and off I went, 45 minutes later. I will never go anywhere else to store my RV!! Well done St. Louis RV Storage, well done! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.

To open your storage unit door, start by unlocking it, whether it uses a traditional padlock or a Bluetooth-enabled smart lock. Once unlocked, grab the bottom handle and lift or pull up the roll-up door until it’s fully open.

If you’re using the unit for the first time, make sure the lock is properly removed before opening the door to avoid damage.

Security helps protect your belongings while they’re in storage and gives you peace of mind between visits. Many self storage facilities use a combination of features such as video surveillance, gated access, on-site management, and well-lit premises to help deter unauthorized access.

Yes, most standard vehicles can be stored in self storage units. A 10x20 unit typically provides enough space for a car, while outdoor or designated parking areas may be available for larger vehicles.

For safety reasons, most self storage facilities restrict certain items. These commonly include:

  • Hazardous, flammable, or toxic materials
  • Perishable food
  • Live plants or animals
  • Cash, firearms, or irreplaceable valuables

Always check with the facility at 1500 South Outer Road for specific restrictions and recommendations.
