Read some helpful reviews of Storage Sense, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I’ve had no problems and the people here are very helpful. Edit: I gave the above review in July 2025 when I moved in and had no problems until Feb 2026 when I noticed on my bank statement that I was charged $84 for Jan and Feb when my previous rent was $48. I thought that was an error so I reached out and was told that was my new rent. I was given no notice (which was a breach of my user agreement) so I decided to cut my losses because it became unaffordable for me and move out. I gave them notice on March 22, more than 10 days notice from April 11, which is when my next rent day was due and it took 2 more emails to get a confirmation on March 27 that the received my notice. It’s now April 13 and I’ve gotten 2 phone calls and a text telling me my rent is due. Because of this mismanagement, I felt I should update my review of my experience. At this point, I’d rather throw my stuff away than store it with this company again. ... Read more

We noticed many of our items had been eaten by rats. These items were in Rubbermaid totes. We thought they would be safe. Needless to say the rats got in there and chewed through many of our priceless Christmas items. We couldn’t get the rat feces off the items and as previously stated we thought they were safe in what we packed them in. We notified the management and nothing was done. We went back and checked and nothing was done. Rat feces was over much of our Christmas boxes, and those were in the plastic bins that they chewed through. The Management never bothered to come clean up the mess or fix the hole where they chewed through to enter our storage unit, It was the roof that they came in through. ... Read more

UPDATE: After receiving my review, I got a call from one of the mangers who apologized for the mess. While I’m still not going to rent a unit there, I appreciate being able to give him constructive feedback. The apology was nice, too. Now just waiting for my refund. What an awful experience. I got set up with a unit online so I thought the rest would be easy, too. I went to the unit only to find there was no such unit. I tried to get help from customer service and the kept insisting the unit was there. But it was a building with many units. The office was closed for the holiday so after two frustrating hours I gave up and canceled the unit. I asked for a return call from the local manager. Four days later I’m still waiting for that call. I canceled the unit that doesn’t exist. Waiting for a refund still. So much more went wrong. It was an unbelievably horrible experience. ... Read more

They helped with every step along the way. I got an outside storage room which needed help with the lock, and after having already come all the way out where I'd been to take off the red lock to open the room in the first place, they came all the way out there again in the blistering heat to show me how to use the tiny key lock that's needed to use those particular kinds of storage rooms. I felt awful, but they were so helpful. ... Read more

I had to make a change to the size of the unit due to too much stuff. The transition was extremely easy and I was given a new unit close to my other, which saved us time. I cannot say enough good things about the staff. They were friendly and knowledgeable. The units were spotless and it was always easy to find a cart to assist in moving in and out. I always felt like my belongings were safe and secure. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
