Read some helpful reviews of New Frontier Self Storage at 4740 Underpass Avenue, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

This should get zero stars! We reserved a small unit in August. The gal at the front desk was very nice but very new. She had issues getting us set up. She ended up calling the manager to get us set up. We paid for one of their locks. Gained access and then loaded the unit. Just this past weekend (so less than 2 months later), we went to visit my son in college and they LOST our information. We were instantly accused of not paying. The front desk gal got the manager on the phone who said 'get the hell off our property or I am calling the cops.' I said 'I am sorry your system had an error but we still need a storage unit. Can we please back pay? We didn't mean to not pay. We will gladly pay.' She said 'NO! get the hell out of here.' I asked if we could please have an adult conversation and she proceeded to say 'We are'. However, I work in the service industry and this manager was not having a civil conversation with me. She was bascially making it sound like we broke in, put our stuff in a unit and then didn't pay. Does that make any sense? And when I was trying to pay, she wouldn't let me. Luckily my son's stuff was still in the unit. They took our lock that we paid for and replaced it with there's. I would not recommend this place at all. They have an old system that loses information and they aren't willing to take ownership at all in that fact. Again, they treated us like crap but I was still willing to pay for the 2 months, and they wouldn't let me. They were ready to call the cops. This is not cool and I am glad we had to go there this last weekend otherwise my son would have lost thousands of dollars in items. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE!!! The manager is not nice and they don't take ownership. They make you feel like shit. AND, again, bascially accusing me of breaking in because I wasn't in their system. Who's fault is that? They gave us a code, took payment? How is that our fault? I just don't understand. I work with a lot of people and I have not interated with this mean of a person in years!!! ... Read more

The “clean” unit I was rented…..full of nasty mess all over including mice poop and even a dead mouse!!! Thankfully it was not clean or I would have missed the mouse poop and dead mouse indicating a rodent problem that would have resulted in them getting into my clothes, couches, and possessions which would have ruined them all. ... Was good at first but with in less than two years after I signed the lease and was assured that the price was set I went from a rent of $109-$154 for “security” which I drove around the whole area and saw maybe two cameras. I’m on a fixed income so that’s why I went with this place because I was assured more than once that the price wouldn’t go up. So I moved out and yes I ended up leaving trash in the unit which I wouldn’t have if they had a trash can like every other storage place I’ve ever seen. I wouldn’t be so upset if I didn’t just get a rude phone call and yelled at on the phone about it. Very unprofessional and I would never ever recommend it. Not to mention the fact my husbands collection of rare comic books and part of a photo album got destroyed by mice!! ... Read more

I can only recommend this place if you plan on renting from them short term. I rented a 10x15 which was originally a good price at $112 a month but they kept increasing the payments all the way up to $191 a month in a little over a year. They almost doubled the price on the unit while still advertising it for $105 online. Blue sky storage does very little upkeep to the roads next to the unit so you end up getting a whole bunch of sand and dust blown into the unit and all over your stuff. They also didn't build the walls to the top of the unit so if I mouse finds it's way into one of your neighbors units, it's probably going to make it's way into your unit as well. We found more mouse droppings in the unit than I would have cared to find. Even had tumbleweed growing in front of a neighbors unit. ... Read more

These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by New Frontier Self Storage - 4740 Underpass Avenue can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 25 to 400 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by New Frontier Self Storage - 4740 Underpass Avenue come at a variety of prices, starting from $64 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $251 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
