The reasons I left this place was that rats got into my unit and dirt would get into it and get all over everything. The gate was a hassle a lot of times too. I moved out 3 months ago and I even paid for a full month after I moved out and to this day, I still get texts and emails every few days saying I need to pay my unit's rent. They keep telling me they will remove me from these messages but they never do. ... Read more

They have not given us our deposit back we been told they will send it out and to no avail nothing yet. Robbery. And they make you buy their insurance to rent out a unit. They did finally fix the front get, but I want my money that's owed to us. Update.....it took 3 months to finally receive the 20.00 deposit refund check from facility. Hopefully they improve services. Overall it was 2 stars. ... Read more

My unit was broken into. Had a different lock on it when we went to check on it our key wouldn't even work on it. Had to have the lock drilled out. When we got in we discovered about $10,000 worth of stuff missing. Found out it wasn't just our unit at least 2 other units for sure got hit. What I don't understand is how you have someone living on the property and your stuff still gets stolen unless said someone is helping whoever it is. I have been told now that apparently this happens alot at this place so be smarter than me and stay far away from this place. If you have stuff stored there I would advise moving it ASAP!!! Don't waste your money on this place!!! ... Read more

I repeat do not use this place to store anything. Our Camper was stolen out of here. And our camper was spotted and pictures take by resident in Fort Benton. The truck pulling our camper is the on site managers son's truck. The guy being charged with stealing our camper is friends with both the on site manager and and her son. Also the lease was rewritten and forged as I never signed the lease my husband did. BEWARE AND DON"T USE THIS PLACE!!!! ... Read more

AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!! Many people have been stolen from. Manager helps the thieves. Owner isn't local (lives in Billings) and doesn't care!!! At least 5 people's units have been broken into in the last 6months!!! The thieves take out the screws in the adjoining unit in the back and pull it through into the empty unit. Don't even use this place to store your campers, vehicles anything!! They will steal whatever they think they can get away with and anything stolen, more than likely will never be recovered!!! Including license plates off of vehicles!!! ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Black Eagle Storage - 3020 Old Havre Hwy has to offer. These amenities include 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate and RV Storage. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
