Read some helpful reviews of Rose Crossing Storage, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

You don't use your own lock here. You use their app and electronic lock. Cool. Except when the lock on your door runs out of batteries. Call and I'm informed that I can replace the batteries myself. They're located on site, along with the necessary tool. Sooo.... I'm paying them $1,500+ dollars per year and i get to be their maintenence team as well. No thank you. I've been locked out of my unit for over 2 weeks. The best part? They don't answer the phone. That's all outsourced to a foreign country. You get to speak to a non native English speaker who can only "pass concerns along to upper management." My new years goal is to find a new, locally owned facility, that will allow my to speak to a Montanan. ... Read more

We just drove 11 hours with a rental trailer only to discover the built-in electronic lock that you are required to have from the facility is dead, and we are unable to open our unit to empty it. If this issue can be resolved in the next few hours, I will change my review. For now, renter beware. Update: We finally got ahold of them, and they told us someone would be out to help us within the hour. No one showed up. So we gave up and did some research and figured out how to remove the battery from the Noke Smart Lock and swapped it with another unit so we could open it. Renter beware! No one is on site at this location, so you are at their mercy if they actually help you or not. Location is technically advanced and fancy, but this situation was unacceptable and unprofessional. I did 2 stars because it is a nice facility. But this could have costed use hundreds of dollars and wasted tons of our time because they didn't maintain the electric locks on the units. ... Read more

Red Shark Storage has been great! I have used different storage units in the past and they are by far the best. I love how you do not need a lock for your unit, everything is electronic on your phone which makes everything surer easy! They are very kind and great to work with. Definitely recommend! ... I really like the app and being able to open the gate as I come in and not have to remember a code or wait for the gate. Also, the people when I spoke to them were very friendly and helpful, even on a Saturday. I would highly recommend Red Shark Storage. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.

To open your storage unit door, start by unlocking it, whether it uses a traditional padlock or a Bluetooth-enabled smart lock. Once unlocked, grab the bottom handle and lift or pull up the roll-up door until it’s fully open.

If you’re using the unit for the first time, make sure the lock is properly removed before opening the door to avoid damage.

Security helps protect your belongings while they’re in storage and gives you peace of mind between visits. Many self storage facilities use a combination of features such as video surveillance, gated access, on-site management, and well-lit premises to help deter unauthorized access.

At Rose Crossing Storage - 967 Rose Crossing, available security amenities may include Security Camera, Onsite Manager, designed to help keep your items protected.

Yes, most standard vehicles can be stored in self storage units. A 10x20 unit typically provides enough space for a car, while outdoor or designated parking areas may be available for larger vehicles.

For safety reasons, most self storage facilities restrict certain items. These commonly include:

  • Hazardous, flammable, or toxic materials
  • Perishable food
  • Live plants or animals
  • Cash, firearms, or irreplaceable valuables
