Read some helpful reviews of MyPlace Self Storage, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

My first trip to My Place, and nobody told me to push # after the gate code. Finally made it to my unit, and the lock had a code to text to an 800 number. I did that, but the code wouldn't open the lock. My brother and I tried several times to no avail. I called the main office and talked to Rosa. She tried notifying maintenance, but couldn't get anyone to answer. It is now Sunday night, and I have still not heard from anyone. I guess someone will call me on Monday. This was a bad first experience. I hope some financial arrangements will be made. ... Read more

This place is nasty. Got the homeless living in the units. I reserved a unit and it had a leak so they moved me to another unit. Long story short whoever did the change didn't put it thru. I was paying for a empty unit they moved someone in my unit that he assigned me to. Never saw my stuff again. Never got a management to call me bk. So that God for insurance bc I will get this handled. They could never figure it out. ... Read more

Horrible organization, I get calls every day from someone new trying to resolve the same issues that I then have to reexplain. I was charged late fees every month with autopay. I called to resolve this error, but given poor organization and efficiency, I have effectively spent far more on renting a 5x5 storage unit than I should have had to. Editing this review August 11. I spent about $500 for three months rent of a 5x5 unit with the late fees that they charged. Be aware that the autopay date will not match the charge date, and they will charge you $30 without a refund. I moved out three weeks early, yet got no money in return. So I am not sure how you ‘save money with the prorate’. Awful customer service followed by a cockroach infestation. This was the voicemail I received when I called at 7 am to leave a message (I am aware businesses don’t open until 9). My time is limited, apologies I manage it well. ... Read more

Starts out with a good price but continually jack's up the price by month. Ended my contract right before I was paying double my initial rent. Keeps water/weather out but has an issue with spiders and bugs. ... Read more

Nice facilities. Fair prices. Update: 9/4/19 still nice facilities, but not so fair prices, or customer service. Once the new company took over they began raising rates and adding fees. Their letters communicating these changes were impersonal, confusing, and confrontational. We had been customers for 5 years, but ended up leaving them because of their new practices. ... Read more
