Rent increased by $45/mo after only 2 months! What a great scam they have running, wait until people get all of their things moved-in and stored before increasing the rent by 33%, because after all, who's going to want to move twice? Buyer beware, get a locked-in price for a minimum of 6 months if you're looking for long-term storage. ... Read more

Jennifer has been super helpful, assisting when I wanted to view new spaces and when I needed help opening a rollup door. She's very knowledgeable about the units and happy to see her face at the front desk! I also like that the units really are climate controlled. Humidity is kept at good levels. ... Read more

Recently moved out of my apartment and needed somewhere to store my belongings while I am transitioning. I was very pleased with the assistance I received from Tionna & Corey. They both were very accommodating, kind, and knowledgeable. They made sure I was fully comfortable with my arrangement and ensured I was getting the best deal possible. This storage facility is very clean and well kept. I feel 100% confident in housing my belongings here. ... Read more

Initial service was very good. Staff the two times I went there to obtain the storage was helpful but about two weeks ago I called and left messages concerning my account. No one has called back. I eventually figured it that system portal was lagging and that when making a payment, I am not able to pay for one at a time. No need to follow up now. I am just doing a review because it was sent. ... Read more

BEWARE, the rates posted online are only for new customers, and you’re only considered a new customer for 6 months. In other words, your rate is going to jump 6 months after moving in. It happened to me and to my sister, who has 2 units there. All 3 of our units increased at the 6 month mark. Two of our units increased by 50%!! This place is a scam. If you call they tell you the rates might increase based on availability, yet according to the website there are plenty of units available. There should be regulations in place for how much they can gouge you for with only 30 days notice. ... Read more

I have three spaces at the Cary parkway Public Storage. There are always some bad things you can say about a place and I don't agree with all of their policies because they do Jack up rates after you're in there. But one thing I can say about this particular location is the the person they have behind the desk whose name is Grace, is a God send. The friend will go out of her way to help you. It's always courteous, polite, And just a bright spot in your day when having to deal with business. I cannot say that for everybody that works there. There is a vast difference in the personnel. They should do everything in their power to keep this woman there. She keeps the place together 100% I had the opportunity to meet Jason. I think he's like the district manager or something. And he was extremely polite and nice to talk with too. I had a short conversation with him. I told him my pros and cons. On the place, and it seemed like he was willing to work on things that needed done. Also, they recently just put in all brand new doors so they open and close. Really easily. Anyway, if you go there and grace is behind the desk, you're good to go! ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.
