Beware and don’t rent here. I came here on a Saturday afternoon around 12 front door lock and no one in office called multiple times no answer. 2 hrs later the property manager called she lied and claim she was there and was cleaning the hallways . I told her o don’t see no cars she said oh my son have my vehicle if you were here like youn said why haven’t you came and try to assist me. I hung up on her of course she did not try to call back and still haven’t scene her appearance. I lost my storage key and no one to assist to remove was told to wait on Tuesday. Also for me to come out of pocket for a locksmith which is ridiculous. The amount of money every month is not worth it. Can’t even use the bathroom or anything. Any other unit would have preparation for common issues like this which is unacceptable . Also no matter what day in the month you rent . Payments are due on the 1st . I moved on the 12th and was generated a monthly charge without even having service for a month. They will add so many fees quick but can’t help with any customer concerns Never again ... Read more

The building was the setting for a horror movie. Lights flickering, filthy, the elevators only worked 25% of the time, so the majority of your time there is spent waiting for the elevators to work. The one on the right got stuck for about 5 seconds while going up. Pretty scary stuff. You would see huge dents in the doors. On more than one occasion, me and my friends ran into people who said they were missing tv's and other appliances. One woman said they caught a public storage employee in their unit. He had a key and said that he was doing an inventory check. I'm from TN, so that is unheard of for me. We don't like random people rummaging through our stuff. I went ahead and moved everything out over the weekend before scheduling the move out. I told this family that they could have a table and speakers for free. They were loading the table when I left. I got a phone call on the following Tuesday (4 days later) from the storage manager saying to call them back about an urgent matter. When I called them back, the lady said that my speakers were sitting out front. I apologized for the inconvenience and explained what had happened. The lady was extremely rude. She cut me off and said that she would charge me $400 if I didn't remove the speakers from the property before they close. I work night shift, so this call took place at 1:30 pm and the office closes at 2:30. The signs around the building say that they will throw away any items left on the property. Doesn't say anything about charging you a ridiculous sum of money. I also asked if I could close out the unit that day. She said, "It better be clean!" This was infuriating! I had to sweep out this unit before moving my stuff in. I asked if I could get a refund for the lock, but she just said, "No, it's yours now". I took pictures and made sure to show her in person that the speakers were removed and the unit was clean, lock removed. I get a bill that evening for the next month. I had scheduled the move out that day. A couple days later, the account is still open. I had to call Customer Service to have the account closed and the bill removed. The agent was super nice and apologized for what I had experienced. I don't have a problem with Public Storage, but that location needs to be condemned. ... Read more

This is actually the worst storage facility I’ve used. The facilities are dirty, raggedy, confusing, and you have to check out the carts which is such an inconvenience to do. The app hardly ever connects to the gate so you still need to get out, the elevators are the wodst things ever I swear. Then the whole check out process is weird. Usually they require you to return the lock and keys but I was told to keep them. But something tells me I’ll be getting charge for it so expect a follow up review if I do. Then you’re forced to leave a five star review before you can cancel your lease which is probably why the rating for this location is so high. The woman literally took my phone and searched through until she found it to give herself the review but I came back to edit it. I will 100% be calling corporate to make sure my account gets cancelled today. ... Read more

I'll share two issues here, one which is probably more related to Public Storage in general, the other to this location. First, I signed up based on a price shown online that was attractive for the space offered. Within one year's time that has increased by almost 100%, from $90 per month to $170 per month. This was listed as a standard monthly rate, not an initial promo. They've just subsequently raised prices drastically two times. The second issue is with this location. It's mostly in good shape. However, I've been many times over the last couple months and not once have they had any moving carts available. They used to have one, now there are none. This is true even when no other customers are there. ... Read more

Had my unit broken into, ransacked, and items stolen. They did the bare minimum to contact me. Only one attempt to call, no voicemail (when asked about not leaving a voice mail the district manager(Johnson) lied and said “we didn’t leave a voicemail because your voicemail wasn’t set up”). They did the bare minimum to cooperate any sort of information. My unit was not the only one broken into, at least 2 other ones on the same aisle were broken into. And from making a report with the CMPD, that location has had other brake ins in the last couple weeks.. ... Read more

I’m not sure what is going on with this particular location but the service has went downhill over the past year and I would not recommend anyone consider renting from this location. I went to access my unit and for some unexplained reason they changed my lock without any notice. I was unable to access my units and I’ve attempted to contact management with numerous messages no response or returned calls….no one is ever at the front office. It’s been numerous days and I’ve still been unable to access my unit. There is constant trash at the dumpster and the entry doors over the weekend were left open which means anyone with bad intentions could access the main building housing the units….renter be aware! ... When I moved into the unit initially there were items that were not mine already there. I am atill waiting to have that resolved. I was charged for a lock that was never provided. I have been to the facility several times during business hours I have never seen anyone there at the desk. The office was closed every visit. The elevator was broken. I have called the facility on multiple occasions and no one has ever answered the phone there. A terrible experience dealing with Public Storage. I do not recommend them at all. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Public Storage - 2130 Cambridge Beltway Drive has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Public Storage - 2130 Cambridge Beltway Drive can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 20 to 300 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Public Storage - 2130 Cambridge Beltway Drive come at a variety of prices, starting from $24 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $211 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
