Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

The only thing they have going for them is easy access and they are new and clean. About 3 months into my rental they raised the price by $20-$30 per month. They should not be able to raise prices so quickly. It’s now $150/month for a “big closet”. Small space for the price. ... Read more

Whitney was incredible!! She took the time to answer all of my questions, show me a smaller storage unit for a lower price, and suggest some great ideas going forward. This is not the first storage I’ve had to rent. The rules have changed some on how they charge. I became quite frustrated and Whitney was there to help me understand how the charges would increase. She calmed me down and explained everything in detail. Thank you Whitney for your patience. I’m not sure about the storage just yet, but I am sure if I have an issue with anything, Whitney will help me to understand. I wish I had a customer service job opening because I would recruit Whitney away from this place. ... Read more

If I could give ZERO stars, I absolutely would. My experience with Public Storage has been a NIGHTMARE from start to finish. The customer service is unbelievably rude — especially Edward and other employees who have treated me with complete disregard and disrespect. Instead of helping customers, they are dismissive, unprofessional, nasty, rude and make every interaction more frustrating than it needs to be. On top of the horrible service, I was blatantly overcharged. I paid for a 10x20 unit but was given a much smaller 10x15 unit, and despite raising the issue, I never received a refund or correction. This is not just a mistake — it feels like price gouging. Adding to that, they constantly change their prices without any notice to customers, so you’re left blindsided with sudden increases you never agreed to. The facility itself is just as bad. The property is disgusting. The facility itself is a disaster. The elevators almost never work — not currently, and seemingly never at all — making it nearly impossible to move things in and out for the 2nd floor. They also advertise climate-controlled storage, but that’s a complete lie. The temperature inside is consistently over 80 degrees, hot, muggy, and humid — conditions that will ruin your belongings. To make matters worse, the units themselves aren’t clean when you get them, which just adds to the sense of neglect. And when you try to get help, the General Manager, Jason is nowhere to be found. He doesn't return calls, doesn't handle issues, and clearly doesn't care about the customers or the problems happening at his property. The only bright spot at this company is Whitney. She is kind, helpful, and professional — the only person there who actually cares about customers. Whitney goes above and beyond to help however she can, and she deserves recognition for being the one and ONLY good thing about this otherwise terrible experience. This company clearly cares only about taking your money and not at all about providing honest, reliable service. Between the rude staff, overcharging, false advertising of unit sizes, surprise price hikes, broken elevators, filthy units, fake “climate control” claims, and a GM who refuses to take responsibility, I cannot stress enough how terrible this experience has been. Save yourself the money, time, and stress — find another storage company that actually values its customers. ... Read more

STAY AWAY!!! STAY AWAY!!!!!DO NOT SPEND YOUR MONEY HERE! I’m a 4+ YEAR renter at this location. After I was told by public storage that if I remove my review I would have my 24hr service back and be credited what’s owed to me I am reposting my review. This time my employee is locked inside the gate and can’t get out. Been there for 1 hr 12min and is left stranded. It is illegal for a storage facility to lock you in their place . After calling the 1800 number they told my employee she had to sit and wait . so here is my original review I have been at this location for approximately three years, beginning when it operated as Integrity Storage. At that time, the staff was friendly, professional, and easy to communicate with. Since the transition to Public Storage, my experience has changed significantly. STAY AWAY!!! This negative review is no way a reflection of the current site manager, Whitney. She has been great. I previously rented four large outdoor units and one indoor unit and have since downsized to one large outdoor unit. Throughout this time, I maintained 24-hour access due to the needs of my business. However, after downsizing, my 24-hour access was unexpectedly revoked without explanation. Additionally, I am being billed for a unit I vacated, despite having time-stamped photographic proof that I moved out. I have made multiple attempts to resolve these issues by contacting Jason, the regional manager, via email, phone, and text, but have not received any response. My hope is that corporate management will address these concerns promptly and improve communication with customers. ... Read more

I was very specific in when I would need a storage unit. I quickly realized I was being charge for an entire month of storage that I did not need. Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
