Bait & Switch Marketing... I recently left a nearby storage facility after being a paying customer with a perfect payment history for over 10yrs - but there were two major price increases and mass theft due to gate issues in the same year. I found Blythe Landing Self Storage acting on the concerns which I had just experienced. In both phone conversations with their company and in-person conversations with staff on-site, I was assured this place was different. Six months into doing business with them, I have learned that was false information. The location recently had gate issues which resulted in thefts on the property(see other reviews). Unfortunately, my theft experience came from the company I entrusted to access my bank account - Blythe Landing Self Storage. Within months of moving there, the total withdrawals Blythe Landing made from my account went from approx. $109 up to $162/mo. That is a 50% increase. I called about the obvious billing error...it was not an error. The office person told me I had started on a promotional rate...this was expressly NOT how I started my business there. I asked three people (1 in call center, 2 in office) if the rate we agreed was promotional or would increase significantly shortly after move in...they assured me that while there may be annual increases based on property value or market inflation - I would not see increases like what just happened LESS THAN ONE YEAR IN. I did receive three notices that I should not store fireworks/batteries and a notice that their security gate was broken...but the 50% rate increase was a surprise to me. When I called the office they kindly said they would "check into it" but blamed this on the central company policy and there is no process or timeframe to resolve my concern. I've seen this game before and I don't have time for it. I will just opt to own a storage unit which is one dependable cost per month and then I will eventually own it and it will increase my home value - as opposed to almost all of these local storage landlords...I've recently researched 10-15 locally and they all basically just hold your property hostage unless you are willing to move out. ... Experience was terrible! A year of cut locks outrageous charges and people going thru my things to finally be sold at auction when I was trying to get a hold of nylons there. For your sake, do not put your stuff here it will disappear and they will treat you like crap! ... Read more

Do NOT RECOMMEND! It is the most important weekend of the year to be able to get your things, and the owner can’t be bothered to come and bypass the electric malfunction of the key code panels that are mysteriously broken. We’ve been waiting 5 days now to get to our holiday things, and they keep saying “someone is on the way.” The poor woman at the front desk doesn’t have codes or a way to let us or others into our units, and our entire weekend plans have been blown because the owners don't care enough about paying customers to come and help her or make sure that a technician is there to fix it. ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! We missed out on ALL of our holiday weekend plans with family, making memories and sharing traditions - time we can never get back. DO NOT STORE YOUR THINGS HERE! ... Read more

Good service; during or after hours; prompt. Clean, spacious units and property. The tires on the carts on not well-kept though, they definitely need some air and to be checked regularly. Filled tires can make a already difficult move way easier. Overall good. ... Read more

One of the only NON-24hr storage places around. What a joke, regardless of signage. They have cameras & automation for gates but you don’t have access past 10pm and until 6am??? That’s absolutely crazy. Late night moving & getting your stuff out because you work long days… nope, this isn’t the place for you. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
