Had a great interaction with Melody when she quickly returned my voicemail the same day. She provided me with the info I needed courteously and professionally and insisted I keep her number for future needs. Amazing - made my day! ... Read more

I just had the best customer service experience in my life, and I am a senior person. I was having unusual system issues upgrading from my current storage unit to a bigger one online. Extremely frustrating. I called company help line which was fruitless and they instructed me to call local office which I did and left message. In quick turnaround, I wound up talking WITH Tiffany. I was literally amazed at how professional, patient, and knowledgeable she was in picking apart what turned out to be a glitch in the way their processing system works with android phones during the payment part of the application. She took about 25 minutes working out the problem and staying on the phone while I was trying some things out. Her demeanor was so friendly that I did not get upset because I could sense that she was getting to the cause of the problem, which she did. All during the she was so positive and upbeat. Unbeatable customer service and aptitude. Hope anyone reading this is fortunate to have Tiffany, or someone with her character, help you with a problem. Tiffany, you are a gem!!! ... Read more

We initially had some issues with finding the right unit for our items and ended up at another Public Storage location. While there was no service person at the location at the time we realized we needed to change locations, customer service was very helpful in managing the process and allowing us to shift over without additional hassle or undue cost. I realize that sometimes the locations are not always staffed but appreciate the outreach provided by Public Storage in getting everything squared away. ... Read more

I’m blown away by the level of scummy business practices that public storage condones. Raising my rent by 65% after 2 months of renting. Charging $50 for a REFUNDABLE lock, but not refunding it, then charging a full month of rent after leaving by noon on the second day of the month. It’s criminal. Absolutely criminal. I’m blown away. I will do everything I can to prevent anyone I know from falling into this trap. I’ll happily change my review if public storage decides to right their wrongs. ... Read more

Chris was on site, and though he had limited time, he helped me by drilling my lock, as I had lost my key. He was very helpful and professional. And he saved me a lot of money, as I did not have to call a locksmith. ... Read more

Don’t get handcuffed by this company!!!!! We rented a regular 10 x 15 space with public storage on Creedmoor Road six months ago. When going through the process of getting our storage unit, we were given the option to purchase insurance for our unit through public storage or through our homeowners insurance. We chose our HOI because it was less expensive for the same coverage. After moving a few items in we realized that a mouse had been chewing on a camping chair we had in the space. Concerned about more expensive items potentially being ruined ( leaving us with a co-pay to replace those items/would it be worth it to go through insurance) we brought the issue to the attention of Judith. Judith is a stellar employee who helped us with setting up with PS. She was great dealing with the mouse issue too. Can’t say enough about her professionalism and knowledge. She gave us the option of moving to a climate control unit for the same price as the unit we were currently in. It wasn’t an easy decision to make. Time is precious, and we had already moved several things into our unit. After some consideration, we made the decision to take everything out of our unit and move it to the new climate controlled unit. For the last five months we have been emptying out our entire attic into the 10 x 15 climate control unit. Last week we got notice that the unit price is going up $49 per month! I called the number I had for Judith on Creedmoor Road. Turns out we don’t have an onsite employee anymore. Just a big orange kiosk if you need help at that location! So I left a message and another awesome female employee from the Atlantic Ave location returned my call. I explained to her that I felt like a $49 increase after six months was unreasonable and she sent in an appeal to corporate on my behalf. She said her hands were tied and couldn’t do anything on a local level. A few days later, I received an email from corporate explaining that there was nothing they could do, that they stand by the $49 increase. So I called the Atlantic Avenue office back and asked if I had any recourse. She gave me the customer service number for Public Storage. Did you know that Public Storage is based out of California? I held for over 20 minutes for someone to answer my call. The employee that I spoke with during that call was abrupt and stood by her company’s policies! Policies policies policies! I explained my situation and she explained that if I had gotten their insurance and not my own that I could have filed a claim. She actually shamed me for not getting their insurance specifically. I explained that that was not the issue. She also explained that if had I read the contract I would know that they can raise the rent anytime they want to because I do not have a lease and they are permitted to raise the rent anytime they want to with 30 days notice. And I explained that a $49 increase after that a short amount of time is unfair and unreasonable. But that’s the policy! So, here is the bottom line. I did not do my research. I went to a nearby storage facility that I assumed is local. My policy is to do business with local companies. This storage company waits until you get your stuff in there and knows that it’s inconvenient for you to make other arrangements and then they start raising the price every 6 to 12 months. There is only so much they can do about a mouse getting through a crack, and I certainly was not unreasonable about that. So now they are putting big orange kiosks at their sites instead of human beings and raising their prices. I just wish that I had the words to convey to everyone the”kiss my a**” attitude/tone that the employee in California had during our conversation. Clearly the jokes on me because after all it is PUBLIC STORAGE POLICY! PS. The two local female PS employees I dealt with are top notch.Do your research and do business with a small local company that will treat you fairly. ... Read more

This place is a sham, I started my unit at $93 and they have chosen to increase rate and their own needs through out the time- and not just $5/10 but $40 at a time! My unit is now $163- don’t understand why an increase is even necessary let alone that amount. While Judith has been great to deal with the company as a whole- doesn’t care for longevity with its renters- if you’re looking for something long term- this ain’t it! I’ll be moving out this month! ... Read more

Showed up for the first time to this storage unit and Judith was extremely helpful. She seems to enjoy taking care of the customer and has already made the experience so easy for me. Showed me around, how to use the lock, the app, hate system, and let me use a hand truck. She is amazing! Thank you. ... Read more

Judith was awesome. She was super friendly and incredibly helpful! She helped us find just the right size storage unit and made sure we had the accessories we needed, like a mattress cover, boxes, and packing tape. It was a one stop moving shop! She made everything easy! The unit was clean and more than spacious enough for us! Overall, we had a great experience and will go to Judith for all our storage needs in the future. ... Read more

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Public Storage - 6220 Creedmoor Road has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Kiosk Available, Credit Cards Accepted, First Floor Access and Online Payment. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Public Storage - 6220 Creedmoor Road can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 50 to 150 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Public Storage - 6220 Creedmoor Road come at a variety of prices, starting from $69 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $190 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
