Great deal on a little unit. Monthly is cheap, plus first month free. No hidden fees & all of that garbage. Mike assisted me & took me to see the unit. Super professional & really good guy. Answered all of my questions & felt as if he would bend over backwards in order to help me. The Merrimack facility, near the YMCA is buttoned up real nice and it's in a fantastic location. Well maintained and super clean facility. Happy camper! I'll add some photos when I move my stuff in. Update - First move in day... While wrapping up a major move to my storage unit yesterday, I had an issued with the sliding door getting jammed. I went dows to the main office to speak to Mike. Mike literally dropped everything he was doing & came to my unit to solve the problem. That action right there speaks volumes on how this place is run. In a world where really good customer service is seriously lacking, it seems that Prime is takes this very seriousy. Which is a breath of fresh air! Mike fixed the issue with the door pretty fast & I was able to leave knowing that my valuables are secure. Trust me, I'm nobody special, so I'm sure that all customers get the same attention. Big thanks to Mike!!! ... Read more

Wow! This place is great! We had an issue where the unit we signed for online was mislabeled as a temp control unit when it was not. Mike was able to let us know immediately before we moved all of our things in. He was kind, helpful, personable and knowledgeable. Out of 3 different storage facilities we have had, this one is by far the best Thank you and I hope anyone who stores here has the pleasure meeting Mike. ... Read more

We had a great experience with Prime Storage in Merrimack, NH. The facility was clean, convenient, and exactly what we needed during our transition. A big shoutout to Mike, who made the check-in process easy and was incredibly helpful throughout. Closing out our two units was just as seamless—highly recommend! ... Read more

He provided pricing that he never deviated from and was great with the communication. It was super easy to get my client set up and it was a customer friendly experience. The lock slide thing on our unit is bent in a way that makes putting the lock on and taking it off quite difficult. Not a big deal in itself, but then they raised the price by 40% two months after we got our unit. ... Read more

Mike at the front desk was very kind and helpful when it came to any questions and assistance I needed. However, my rate was raised 2-3 months in so I had to make other arrangements for a more affordable option; that does seem to be a common complaint in reviews, so I wouldn’t recommend getting a unit here unless you are able to afford possible price increases or are able to move your things out easily and relocate them should it no longer be in budget. It was also a little concerning that I never needed to use my code for the security gate as it was always open, but my items were secure up until moving out. ... Read more

We needed a storage unit, small, on short notice to empty a family member's home. This place had the 5x5 unit we needed, locks available, and the price was right. Rented for less than a year and came back to empty the unit and close it out same day. No problem. Very helpful staff, good location, and clean, relatively dry units. Stored antiques, tools, and electrical items along with upholstered furniture, all was safe and dry. Easy in and out, even for larger vehicles, well-lit and secure. Highly recommend. ... Read more

The old owners of this location were great. I never had a rent change in years of renting my unit there. In less than a year with new ownership, my rent went up 50% with the claim of remodeling. They slapped a coat of paint on the buildings and redid concrete aprons of each unit which required cutting out existing concrete, covering everything in my unit in concrete dust (all I got was a sorry and $50 credit). Not worth the price in my opinion. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
