DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION. MOLD, WATER DAMAGE AND RODENT FECES. DISPOSED OF OUR BELONGINGS UNLAWFULLY. We trusted this location with all of our belongings while we found a home for our family. Our belongings were in the unit for around 3 month, if that. When we went to move into our home we found our belongings covered in RODENT FECES AND MOLD. We found puddles of water the length of our unit. We had approximately $15,000 in furniture we had to throw away, if not more. We, of course filed a claim but their insurance has a limit that did not even come close to what we lost but we needed furniture for our family to live. My husband and I spoke with Emily, an employee of the location, and were told to bring up the keys and they will move our belongings into a new clean unit until we could get to the remaining TOTES. It took us months in our free time to sift through boxes to make sure it was safe to bringing into our home with our daughter. I returned in early September to get the remaining totes, stroller etc (all which were clearly not damaged). With no one at the office I called. A few hours later I got a call from Amy, the “on-site manager”, she informed us all of the information Emily gave us was wrong. That they threw away ALL of our belongings the day my mother in law brought the keys up. She claims she spoke with my mother in law and she gave Amy verbal constant to throw away everything in the unit. This CLEARLY never happened. What remained in the unit was totes and totes of belongings, Christmas decorations of my deceased mother and sister, my husbands grandmother (my mother in laws mother), my husbands Marine Corps and police awards, medals etc. 90% of our baby clothes and products that we planned on using for the child I am expecting. Amy and Emily LIED to us. They fed us false information and claimed my mother in law gave permission to throw her own deceased mothers belongings away. No signatures on forms, no calls, no mail. Just gone. We have attempted time and time again to speak with Hector the district manager, no response. We have decided to take it further and are suing. We would have NEVER brought those keys back if we knew everything we had left (which again was completely clean and in totes) was going to be thrown away. PLEASE CHECK YOUR UNITS!! DO NOT TRUST THESE PEOPLE WITH YOUR BELONGINGS! I have attached pictures so you can see what we experienced. This is only a small fraction of what we found. ... Read more

I recently rented a second storage locker with Amy, and she was an absolute gem to work with. She handled everything professionally and walked me through the entire process over the phone, making it quick and stress free. Amy was patient and kind, waiting as I completed each step. I've rented a unit here for about six months. They recently underwent construction, remodeling the doors on my unit and a few others. I wasn't able to access my unit for a week, which isn't the issue. The issue is that once i was able to gain entry to my unit, everything inside was covered in mortar and cement dust. I have spent the last three weeks trying to get in contact with someone to handle the damage done to my property, to no avail. Every time I visit the site, the office is locked. No one returns messages or phone calls. Instead, they've locked me out of my unit and told me i owe a balance with interest. Edit: so far, Amy has gone out of her way to try to amend this situation. She has been the only person actively trying to rectify this problem. Edit: this matter has been rectified. Again, I want to thank Amy for going above and beyond to get the matter handled. ... I caught the person working the office going into one of my units. He said he saw the lock off of it and was going to get it ready to rent out. Um, I have the unit till the end of the month and am in the middle of moving my stuff to a larger unit. What gives him the right to go into my unit while it is paid for through the month just because the lock was off it. This makes me wonder if I should find a place that doesn't have employees just randomly go into people's units ... Read more

I've had a storage unit here for over 2 years and I went through water damage swapping units and all. I must say Amy the property manager is one of the best! Even with losing thousands of dollars worth of items I stayed simply because of her kindness, helpfulness and follow through! Thank you Amy you're the best! ... Read more

These amenities include Indoor, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Elevators, First Floor Access, Online Payment and RV Storage. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Public Storage - 1861 Old Cuthbert Road can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 25 to 288 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Public Storage - 1861 Old Cuthbert Road come at a variety of prices, starting from $76 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $374 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
