Theodosia is amazing! I had won a storage I wasn't feeling well so I ended up coming a little late. But they were willing to stay until I got there gave me the code everything was working fine smoothest transaction out of a several storages I've won. They were helpful and every way shape and form. No matter the question I had or whatever it was. Storage units are real nice. They are clean. If you're looking for a place to store your items. This would be a great place for you. ... Read more

Jeffrey was a kind and respectful man who went above and beyond to help me with my Public Storage unit. He also took the time to help my grandma, which we truly appreciated. He was patient, professional, and made the whole process easy. ... Read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. I discovered mold growing on several of my belongings in my storage unit today, and the employee I spoke with completely disregarded my concerns. I was told that the facility has ongoing HVAC issues and that dehumidifiers have been plugged in to remove excess moisture — meaning these units are not truly temperature-controlled as advertised. Instead of offering any assistance, the employee simply said he would take photos and upload them to my file, then told me to file a claim with my own insurance. No support, no accountability, and no resolution were offered. Now we have to spend even more money to move our belongings out of this poorly maintained and mold-infested facility. Extremely disappointed and frustrated with how this situation has been handled. ... Read more

Please invest in more carts for the building. The fact that two other people are using the available carts shouldn’t mean I have to lift 50 lb packages from my unit to my car. On top of that, I’ve been communicating with staff for months about the light in my unit not working, and the issue still hasn’t been resolved. That is completely unacceptable. God forbid I do not pay my rent, then it becomes a problem. You all need to do better and fix these issues. ... Read more

Since Public Storage has taken over Extra Space Storage the service has been terrible. I was on auto pay and now I am being told that they "lost" my id and don't have a record of me. When they text me a link stating that this is the last chance to pay my bill but when I click the link it takes me to a page that reads "this page does not exist". I left a message for a manager to call me over 24 hrs ago and have received no call back. I have to pretend that I am a new customer to get someone on the phone. Once I get a rep on the phone they do not know the names of their managers and the only way to meet with someone is by appointment. Now because they lost my ID I have to cancel my eye exam and call out of work just to meet with a manager that I don't have a name for regarding ID that I provided when I first signed up for my storage unit 4 months ago. Do not get a unit here unless you love poor customer service, a company that will lose your information, say that you owe them a payment and send you links that do not work and refuse to resolve or answer questions over the phone but instead, insist on making you set an appointment to waste your time. ... Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
