Read some helpful reviews of Prime Storage, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Absolutely fantastic experience with Prime storage! From start to finish, everything exceeded my expectations. The staff was incredibly friendly and professional, making the check-in process seamless. The facility itself was spotless, well-lit, and secure, giving me complete peace of mind knowing my belongings were in good hands. I also appreciated how easy it was to reserve a unit online, and the variety of options available—whether you need something small or large, they have it all. The rates were very reasonable for the level of service and security they provide. Another highlight was the convenience—access to the units is super easy with well-maintained elevators and carts available to help you move your stuff in. Plus, I loved how well the entire facility was monitored with security cameras. It’s clear they take security seriously, which is a huge plus. If you're looking for a reliable, affordable, and customer-focused self-storage company, I highly recommend Prine Storage . They made the entire process simple, and I’ll definitely be back if I ever need storage again. A+ experience all around! ... Read more

This company has terrible customer service, with no staff or office to assist. I sent them an email informing them before the end of the month that the storage unit was going to be vacated without receiving any response with the steps to follow. Then, $139 corresponding to the following month was deducted from my bank account, which was already empty. We then called the company, which also has no one who can offer good service, telling me that they were not going to return my money. Now, I receive another email informing me that they will withdraw money from my account again. For new people who require this service, please go somewhere else and inform yourself before believing them. ... Read more

This was the worst experience of my life. The happiest day was when I got to move and not pay this company any further. All of my belongings were ruined and even though they had me prove I had renters insurance every four months nothing was covered. They start with a low rate and then raise it every six months. The customer service was awful. The girl in the front was so rude and disrespectful. Anytime I had to deal with her was just a negative day. Please find somewhere else to store your belongings. ... My family was in a last minute pinch for storage space. We didn't want to break the bank so we searched for the "cheapest" we could find. Fully expecting this to be tough task we were so blessed to discover Prime Storage. Not only the least expensive for our need but the facilities far exceeded our expectations. The staff are amazing, friendly, helpful, and kind. It is companies like this that help a seemingly chaotic, stressful moment in life and through their efforts, relieve some of that pressure. ... Actual storage unit (10x15-foot, at one of the Dix Ave locations in Glens Falls) was fine. Unit was clean when we arrived, it stayed water-tight and apparently rodent-tight while we used it, and our valuables sat untouched as-expected in the 11 months we used the unit. The door handle/lock was unwieldy, not ergonomic, and challenging to operate. Email communication with the company was more like 2 stars. Prime employees communicate from faceless regional email addresses. They sometimes sign their messages with a first name, and they sometimes don't, and you're not guaranteed to be speaking to the same person if you email them back. In my most-recent message, I asked if there was any sort of move-out inspection procedure, and in their response they warned me about the $35 off-cycle move-out fee, and completely ignored my question about an inspection. Glad you care about me as a valued customer, and not just my money, Prime! Just kidding, you don't. Price hikes during my rental period weren't great either. 2 stars. It feels rather petty to sucker consumers in with a promotional rate, then switch to the normal rate, then within just a few months, hike the REGULAR price up. No wonder Prime can afford to purchase an $11M office space on Broadway in Saratoga Springs, just to demo it and build a $40M corporate office — since the rental units are technically month-to-month, it's within Prime's legal rights and power to hike the rent amount up every single month if they choose to do so! Buyer beware, I guess. It took me more than 4 months, but I built my own 208-square-foot custom sealed storage shed for about $1,200 - $1,500 worth of materials (using rough pine from local sawmills, trees from the build-site as posts, housewrap, gap filler, and Fastenmaster hardware) and was finally able to ditch the Prime storage unit at $181/mo (including their built-in rental insurance), and relocate my things. As I said in the beginning, the unit was more-or-less fine while I had it, but I'm glad to be done with it. Everywhere you look, there's another Prime storage location, and I guess they're getting big enough that they're losing sight of their customer service, and apparently they're ignorant of the idea that instituting multiple price-hikes within a single 11-month period is going to get them a worse review. Well, now you know, Prime. I also find it sketchy that after my rental, Prime asked for my "positive review" and told me to email them if I had any issues. One of my main issues with the company was communication. Why would I put myself through that again when I could just leave an honest Google review? Was Prime going to compensate me for my trouble? Unlikely. ... Read more
