Just about every month I get a notification my payment didn't go through. I go online, payment doesn't go through, there's money in my account but I get the error does not honor. Now I have to call and talk to someone. This call has been 30 minutes. Rep said we can't take that card, yes you can, it's the ONLY card I've used with this place. It's not my bank it's on broadway self storage side. They are blaming my bank because they don't know why its not going through, the bank said everything is fine. The rep hung up because he couldn't figure it out and the admin didn't know what they were talking about. Horrible horrible horrible. As far as storing things it's clean, it was a bit musty but hardly noticeable. It's a cheap place to store things. If you are storing a lot make sure to have a uhual with a ramp otherwise you be going up and down some stairs. We have a unit on the ground floor. 2 star because of payment issues, app issues, customer service ... Read more

Pluses: Clean facility, especially the restroom! Heavy duty flat push trucks provided to aid moving several items at once. Minuses: Entrance signage/doors could use some work and clarity. There's a sign in the interior saying a few will be assessed for not returning a key to the lock box #1, but that lock box was already open and I used my code to open the exterior door. Either take down the lock box or make the signage more clear. It would also be nice to get even just a basic map layout of the building to know where the elevator is and that the interior loading dock(s) can be used. Without the minuses, I would rate 5 stars.... ... Read more

I have a difficult time believing that the reviews for Broadway Self Storage are real. The new company took over at the beginning of the year and have raised our rent twice since then. My particular unit has a massive support beam taking up at least 20% of the available space. There is no discount for this inconvenience. I have called several times to switch to a different unit, and each time they tell me there isn’t another one of that size available until I say that the website says there is. Then all of a sudden it’s “Oh yes well there is that one.” On more than one occasion they’ve tried to get me to pay for two units. They changed the front code to the door without telling me. Also, the door handle on the second floor has been broken since February. I’ve mentioned this on multiple occasions. I’m in no way surprised to have stopped by today to find it unfixed. The only reason they get two stars is because it’s an indoor unit, which current owners had nothing to do with. EDIT: In response to owner input. I never said I was charged for 2 units. I said that everytime I tried to speak to someone about it they tried to sign me up for a second unit to make up for the lost space in my current one. I was told someone would call me when something was available and that never happened so ?????????? Just because you have to give a 30 day notice doesn’t mean you didn’t raise the rent? And the point is kind of that if you’re going to charge me more money I want a functioning door. Speaking of: sure, the door is usable if you get on the ground, put your hands under the door and pull so hard you slip a disk and cut your hands. The door was hardly functional when there was a handle. The reason I wasn’t able to talk when the owners called was because I’d tripped over the garbage can I used to prop the door open and fell down the concrete stairs, but yea the door doesn’t inhibit anyone from getting to their unit. ... Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.

To open your storage unit door, start by unlocking it, whether it uses a traditional padlock or a Bluetooth-enabled smart lock. Once unlocked, grab the bottom handle and lift or pull up the roll-up door until it’s fully open.

If you’re using the unit for the first time, make sure the lock is properly removed before opening the door to avoid damage.

Security helps protect your belongings while they’re in storage and gives you peace of mind between visits. Many self storage facilities use a combination of features such as video surveillance, gated access, on-site management, and well-lit premises to help deter unauthorized access.

At Broadway Self Storage - 1025 South Broadway, available security amenities may include Security Camera, designed to help keep your items protected.

Yes, most standard vehicles can be stored in self storage units. A 10x20 unit typically provides enough space for a car, while outdoor or designated parking areas may be available for larger vehicles.

For safety reasons, most self storage facilities restrict certain items. These commonly include:

    • Hazardous, flammable, or toxic materials
    • Perishable food
    • Live plants or animals
    • Cash, firearms, or irreplaceable valuables

Always check with the facility at 1025 South Broadway for specific restrictions and recommendations.
