I was notified to come check my belongings today for a possible theft issue. Upon entering the office, around 1pm, I felt nervous and feared someone had gotten a hold of my belongings. I believe the woman that greeted me was Alyssa? Tall woman with glasses. She had the absolute worst customer service. Not only was she completely horrible to me, but also to the large audience of staff present. I have never encountered anyone with such horrible customer service. I not only fear for my belongings being safe due to a lack of cameras, but there is also an issue with the gate locking. She was both rude and disrespectful to both me as a customer but also to the other staff on site. ... Read more

A lot of people are vacating this terrible place........I have only been renting here for 3 months and got broken into and TOTALLY ROBBED !!!!!!!! Thieves were in my unit several times for many hours, They went through every single box I have in a large 10×40 Unit in last two weeks. Manager said she has cameras all over the property BUT TOLD ME SHE CAN'T REWIND THEM to see who was going in and out my unit....There is a camera at each end of my aisle pointing straight at my unit. Also no cameras pointed at the road in front of facilities and the road deadends with the office, can't see or record who's coming up the road, or iron fence in front north west corner where they are coming through. This Poor Exhausted Manager said Corporate won't approve getting the iron fence fixed or welded with sideways reinforcement bars. Sheriff came out and SAID EVERY FEW DAYS SEVERAL UNITS ARE ROBBED!!!!!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO STORE MY GARBAGE ...... STAY FAR AWAY......SHADY PLACE..I Expect the Corporate Office or Owner to do improvements immediately, because they have been aware of these robberies going on for many months, I am getting my lawyer involved.. I was told this place was very secure, may be a Civil Lawsuit against Owner, this is SO REDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Totally uncalled for! Plus the new manager is working relentless trying to get this property in shape, with lots of unpaid overtime, that I know to be true. Even working late after dark, very dangerous!!!!!!!!!! ... Loved visiting this facility, spoke to a girl named Lindsey who had just started but she went above and beyond. Poor girl had been working through all that storage management had to throw at her and yet had a smile on her face and was more than happy to help. Thanks for this experience it's nice to see we still have good people that will go out of their way to make you feel welcome and important. I'll never go anywhere else!!!! ... Read more

Second successfully drafted monthly payment to clear my account as scheduled by the SecurCare Self Storage company and the second email saying I haven't paid and am getting a late charge from the old company Storage Lion. No one answers the phone or returns your call. Someone needs to stop the madness and fix the emails going out threatening lock out and late fees. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.

To open your storage unit door, start by unlocking it, whether it uses a traditional padlock or a Bluetooth-enabled smart lock. Once unlocked, grab the bottom handle and lift or pull up the roll-up door until it’s fully open.

If you’re using the unit for the first time, make sure the lock is properly removed before opening the door to avoid damage.

Security helps protect your belongings while they’re in storage and gives you peace of mind between visits. Many self storage facilities use a combination of features such as video surveillance, gated access, on-site management, and well-lit premises to help deter unauthorized access.

At Public Storage - 6401 North I-35 Frontage Road, available security amenities may include Security Camera, Gate, Onsite Manager, designed to help keep your items protected.
