Most horrible people I have ever met run this place!!! Avoid them at all costs!! They wrote a response 4 YEARS after i posted the review, saying they asked me to vacate my unit due to security concerns!! This just goes to prove how horrible these people are!! The obviously don't remember me from 4 years ago! I had an outdoor spot for a trailer, not a unit. They never asked me to vacate or kicked me out, that NEVER happened, I pulled my trailer out as soon as I realized how bad these people are! And, there was never a security concern. They are trying to make me look like the bad guy when I didn't do anything to them or anyone else associated with the place. And I see that they are going back on other reviews from many years ago and responding trying to make the customers look like the issue. I will stand by my comment that these are the most horrible people that I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with!! ... Read more

Very poor customer service. No one was ever in the office during office hours when I would come in or call, and their personal basketball hoop was hung right above my storage unit. When I moved out no one was in the office due to a family emergency and was later told that they were on vacation, I had paid for the whole month and had left a notice in the office before I left, and was told that I forfeit any refund by doing so. When I asked for any of the documentation, prior lease and move out paperwork I was told it was all thrown away. DO NOT EVER DO BUSSINESS WITH THIS UNIT!!! UPDATE As the owner has dredged up an 11 year old review, here is a rebuttal. I have attached the picture of their personal basketball hoop as proof, we had repeatedly found our boxes knocked over in the unit, likely due to a ball hitting the wall. We did indeed leave a notice, but as stated in the original review, they were never in the office so we left a letter in the drop box. As also stated they were gone for a vacation and never responded to us until sending a bill. The lock was not left on the unit, it left with us to Storage Depot where we moved, I still have that lock to this day. We were never overdue as we did submit notice but they ignored it and kept our deposit. ... Read more

The woman who works there was so rude to my husband on the phone last year that he refuses to deal with her. They made a bookkeeping error which put our account into forclosure. I over paid, even though I told them I didnt owe them the money. When I called, I was told they had no record of our payment. I had to go to the office to show my bank statement, wasting my gas and time (I live in another city). When I arrived, she had a copy of the payment in front of her and said oops, her husband messed up. I had to walk her through refunding me my overpayment. Then I had to ask her for an apology. I recorded our interaction because she tends to answer bad reviews by saying that the other party was abusive so I wanted proof that I kept my cool. I'll be honest, the units are clean and cheap but I wouldn't reccomend them. According to complaints here and on the BBB website, I'm not the only one this has happened to. UPDATE the owner has finally responded saying that I made a racist remarks and that we were late on our payments. None of that happened. I recorded our conversation because she had been so verbally abusive and have proof. We left in good standing including receiving our deposit back. ... Read more

Bad experience. I was warned by friends that there would be problems. Sure enough. I ran into the owner woman at Wal mart where she told me to drop by her office and pay her 25.00 for an oil drop she said was from my friends truck. The truck is in perfect condition with no oil leaks. After lesson one I took before and after photos of her concrete in case I had to use them in court. I also went there with a witness every time. also she gave a friend of mine 1 day notice to move her stuff because my friend was sick of being charged late fees due to the office never being open so you can pay. I assure you she will pull some stunt on all of the unit renters. Be aware! They take advantage of the public. I feel for the people who innocently need a unit and have to deal with her and her boyfriend. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Starlite Storage - 29875 Santiam Hwy has to offer. These amenities include Drive-Up Access, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Online Payment and RV Storage. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Starlite Storage - 29875 Santiam Hwy can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 40 to 600 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Starlite Storage - 29875 Santiam Hwy come at a variety of prices, starting from $40 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $130 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
