I have been a customer for over a year. In that time I have enjoyed a clean facility and friendly customer service. I like the fact I can pull into the building out of the rain and move my possessions and not worry about the weather. Overall I am very pleased with my experience at Nothwest Self Storage. ... Rented a storage unit here for 3+ years. During that time, my life turned upside down but this storage place never let me down. It was always clean, easily accessible, had carts available, and well taken care of. I always knew my stuff was safe. The staff here was an angel. I strongly recommend this storage if you need one. ... Read more

The owner/manager is very kind; he helped me locate my unit and gave me some moving supplies. The gate access and elevator always worked, and the facility is very secure, clean, and well-kept. I never saw a speck of dust on any of my stuff. ... Read more

Very frustrating because they get you in at a good price and then keep raising it significantly ($78-$101 in one month). Then they keep telling you you can have a cheaper unit if you move to a bigger one when you dispute the charges. Then you move to a bigger unit, and then they still significantly increase the prices from month to month. then they keep telling you you can get even bigger units for cheaper than the starting pay for the small units even though this was never presented as an option in the beginning. Very predatory pricing and would not recommend to anyone that needs to stay on a budget. The facility itself is nice and feels safer than some others, but I would never recommend it because of the pricing that keeps changing. EDIT/UPDATE: I called the number you provided and it was reinforced again that it is your corporate policy to raise the rent significantly and there is nothing they can do at this time. How did you think you could help? ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
