Blows. They keep raising the price every few months. Interior doors block your way constantly. The outside exit door won't stay open either. The carts suck too. Wobbly, won't steer straight, slippery surface so stuff slides off. Parking lot is a train wreck. Uneven pavement, in terrible condition. Carts roll away while you're trying to load. Overall awful place to store stuff. ... Read more

Nice and simple. Online reservation, contract, and identity check were all online and straightforward with fees disclosed during the contract review (we expected them; no different from similar vendors). We were able to reserve a unit starting the next day and load items in that day using the phone app for access the site. Instructions to get to our unit were great - much appreciated! No need to check-in at the office. Restroom is located via an outside door at the office (on the inside of the security gate), and not in the storage building; we didn't get a chance to use the bathroom in time for this review. So far, the experience and facility are just what we needed--not fancy, but clean, smelling okay, humidity controlled (warm, but reasonable inside during the summer), and doorways were accessible with a minor gap/hump to overcome when rolling items into the building. I'll update this review if anything changes. ... Read more

Public storage never fails. Chris was extremely helpful from the get go. He called me about 30 minutes after I made my reservation. I like to do business in person and he let me know he in before a certain time, because he had to check on another property. When I arrived he insisted I look at the unit to be sure it was the one I wanted. I appreciate the small details and courtesy that he takes to his approach with his clients. ... Read more

The correct door was confusing to find, even with the map. And since I don't take elevators I couldn't help my son move his things in. We walked the length of the building and found no stairs. None from the upstairs going down either. Fire? The signs said use stairs in case of fire. Kinda different if there were no stairs to find ... Read more

Chris couldn't have been any nicer, helpful or knowledgeable. Had the best experience "moving" in. Everything was so clean especially the public bathroom which I didn't expect at all. He really was a pleasure to meet and helped me with all the questions I had. Definitely 4 star. ... Read more

Started out great and the introductory price was good. Just know that they raise the rates every 3 to 6 months forever for absolutely no reason. I got so sick of it I moved to a different facility (not PS). Started at $75/mo for a 7x10 unit. Then $100. Then $120. Then at about 2 years in I got a notice for $145 and I couldn't take it anymore. This is a storage facility, not an apartment rental. It's literally junk sitting in a garage. Their business model is atrocious, and it's tiresome and frustrating to have to absorb constant price increases. They prey on people not wanting to move everything out to a different unit at the same facility every 6 months and on the high cost of hiring movers. Best advice I can give you is to never once get started with Public Storage. Or if you absolutely have to, limit it to 3 months tops. There are many other, better storage companies than this horrible company. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
