Was great when owned locally. The last past week have tried to contact some one to get my account set up for auto pay and even balance out. Waited for return calls never happened. Their promos are 1 for English then give you the website info then say if you want to speak to a manager press 0. Did all that nothing. Only way I was able to talk to a person is call the main number in MN and hit the selection as if I wanted a new unit. Ridiculous!! The person I talked to Sam was very helpful but also said it was an auction day and that was the reason why I couldn't get through. So is that saying that KO Storage is more worried about their auctioning off people things or their customers they have currently? ... Read more

I had my personal property in a 10x10 drive up storage unit outdoor access for almost 3 years and I have been really sick not doing well. I lacked help and I was receiving donations to pay for my unit. I was pending disability and I lost my entire home of memories. It killed me. I got my temporary disability income in January and it was past due from November 2024 which if they let me pay for it when I had all of the money which I did have over $1,500 in cash to pay for December, January, February because November 2024 was paid for then I could have salvaged all of my belongings. They could have helped me avoid auction in February 2025 and I would have kept it there the remaining of this year until I received my permanent disability income because I am still sick. I think I'm dying but my doctors aren't saying anything. It hurts so much because I have been in the Homeless shelter since the past 2 years. I lost my job, my car, my home, my kids haven't seen me for over 4 years, my cat died, I've been to a lot of doctors appointments and now I have nothing to look forward to it feels like even getting a new home may not be in the question. It really hurts. I'm broken. All of the people that did this to me on purpose is so selfish. My family was not there for me in my darkest moments. I was alone. I had no friends. I lost them all. My ex husband and my family tore my life apart. ... Read more

Perhaps in not familiar with the storage locker business but at the amount of profit they have to be clearing at bare minimum this location (500+ units @ min 100$ per month), you'd think they wouldn't slap insane late charges on your unit if you're more then one month late (125 and a extra lock on your unit). I guess I'm new to the game but something doesnt add up. Stop bleeding people dry Added a star because the two people who work here are super nice and friendly so they at least get a point for that ... Read more

Don't make the same mistake I did. Bought the unit in a hurry due to a family member passing away. Turns out I didn't need the unit. Had the unit for a total of 6 days never used never went there and turns out there is a 24 hour cancellation rule. I was charged $70 for the unit then a lock fee and a protection plan. All totals to about $135. The only thing they were willing to refund was the lock. They sound nice on the phone. But in all remember to read contracts and don't buy things in heist. ... Read more

Sign up process was very easy and well laid out. Once completed I received all the information I required very quickly including a follow up call to welcome me and to be sure I understood everything. When I arrived for the first time I found a very clean and well kept location. The unit was clean and dry. ... Read more

All of my questions were answered during the set up. I got a tour, and was very satisfied with everything that I heard and saw. With some pretty reasonable prices,I left with a storage unit! So far so good. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
