I’ve been a responsible customer for many years. For some weird reason I encountered difficulties on the App in trying to change my autopay. I tried several times without no luck. So I decided to call the office for assistance bc the App gave me several error messages. Today is 11/2/24, Kristine answered the call at Seymour Storage at the Lancaster, PA location she was extremely rude, raising her voice until it got out of control and started yelling. As I attempted to calm her down by speaking really low hoping that it would bring her tone down. With this all I was trying to do was explain my situation to see if she would understand. Also I mentioned that I honestly understood her frustration & If she could guide me to someone that could assist me I would appreciate it. During all the conversation she continued to yell at me telling me that she had no idea who invited the App nor the internet. I tried asking for technical support bc I understood it wasn’t up to her to fix the issue. She blamed me for all the calls being backed up and said that if I didn’t have enough money on my autopay account I shouldn’t be on it. Her tone got louder as I tried explaining that in the past I was able to manage these issues on the App myself. This is a perfect example that some people are in the wrong job settings. She has no customer service skills nor phone etiquette. All Kristine had to do was simply get my info., and try to find a resolution & call me at a better time. Or direct me to the tech support to see if the app is having issues. I’m shocked and disappointed and it saddens me that something so insignificant was too much to handle by an employee who obviously doesn’t know how to manage certain aspects that go with any day to day normal business. Hopefully management can figure how to train their staff properly. My question still is, who handles your technical or App problems???? ... Read more

If I could give 0 stars I would . So let’s just start by saying the lady in there at the front desk is VERY RUDE !! on the contract it states that there is a 5 day grace period and when we went to get our things out of the storage it was the 3rd , she had me pay for the whole month of October when we was taking our things out on the 3rd of October . The then came flying around on the gulf cart because she was upset that I complained about her making me pay a whole month when we was taking our things out of storage. SHE ALMOST RAN MY 5 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER OVER so I snapped out on her for being very unprofessional and rude and nasty . She also almost hit a guy that was moving us and he wanted to press charges but decided not to since we wouldn’t be returning to their property. ALSO THERE IS SOOOO MUCH MICE POOP ALL OVER MY THINGS IN MY STORAGE AND I HAVE PICTURES FOR PROOF ! I would not recommend this place after running into that lady at the front desk . I can handle the mouse poop because I do understand that rodent’s can get into storages but I cannot handle paying a business my hard working money when you have a mean evil person talking to you any kind of way that works there . NEVER AGAIN ! ... Read more

I stored all of my belongings here for a very rough couple of years. Swapped units a couple of times with zero hassle; 1 outdoor pull up to 2 inside units without climate control- no damage to my items either way. The units are sturdy and you don't have to worry about rain getting inside. You will need your own padlock. I do suggest bringing your own, but they are available for purchase inside the office if you forget to bring one. The property manager is an awesome woman (and drives that golf cart like a Mario Kart pro! Hold on tight haha) She is very kind and understanding as long as you are communicative. Any issues I had were always addressed and resolved promptly (mostly updating my payment method- very simple). She keeps a very clean and well maintained facility that feels very secure. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to store things. There are a wide variety of unit sizes and vehicle spaces available...and if they are currently not (the small units go fast, I was told), check back frequently for openings- Things change constantly with people moving in and out, yet the place is never crowded, and it's in a good location near a nice neighborhood and park. Very well lit and monitored, on a quiet street. Be sure to check prices on the website from time to time if you are storing things long term because they do fluctuate occasionally (reason I changed units). Also, please obey the signs not to bring food and drink inside to protect your things and everyone else's from bugs and mice! People did this when I had my things there and it ended up causing issues, however they were quickly resolved, as I said before. They do have routine pest control to prevent these things, so no worries as long as you follow the rules on your lease :) ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
