Read some helpful reviews of South Mountain Storage, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

States they have cameras for protection but they “don’t work”. My storage unit was recently broken into and there was nothing they could do. They were no help and did not make a costumer of 3 years a priority. Cameras should work for this reason, especially if they are advertised to work. ... Read more

Clean facilities at fair prices and the owner is super easy to work with- he has so many options for size at different qualities- all are clean and obviously dry but some are temp controlled. Some are interior units some you can enter like a garage door outside. I wouldn’t be shocked if he was always sold out- but do yourself a favor and check with him first before wasting your time anywhere else. It’s worth it. ... Read more

Clean, well maintained and probably the best prices you'll find in the area. Staff is accommodating if assistance is needed. Easy access to units regardless of their location on property. Everything from massive storage to small walk in spots and everything in between. ... Read more

Climate controlled, clean storage units, prices aren't bad, easy payment and billing, and friendly people who run the facility. Although I must say that when I started there, the prices were excellent...and then in the summer of 2017, a massive price hike nearly doubled my monthly rate, and I moved out shortly thereafter. Inflated prices notwithstanding, they are a good choice, although a gate around the property would be nice...but it is rural, and none of the urban/suburban riffraff and punks to be found further east in Cumberland County. ... Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods.
