Read some helpful reviews of Prime Storage, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

We had one of the outdoor parking spots and they are extremely hard to get into. The ropes they have up creating the spots are ridiculous. Recommended to take them down to create pull through spots and we were met with excuses and refusals. They were not open hearing suggestions or ways to make the spots more tenant friendly. We asked for a different spot and was given one with no issue however that spot was even worse. Up against a wall in a tight squeeze between two other tenants with no ability to access to our trailer when parked because the spot was too small. The rate started out great which is why we selected them but within 3 months the rate increased three times. The location is difficult to get to due to being on Market street with only one direction of traffic having access. In a nut shell...be cautions if you rent here. ... Read more

Prime Storage in General has been ok to work with. But their rules and procedures on fees and unit rent is not customer friendly. They raise the rent in units when ever they like. . I was moving at the end of Sept, when my landlord didn’t have the apartment ready. I had to move it a week. So instead of me paying the additional week, I had to pay an entire month because Prime Storage doesn’t “pro-rate” days. So my unit sat empty…at least that’s what they told me, who knows. Either way, I had to pay for the entire month. They are not “customer friendly” either. So I wouldn’t recommend Prime Storage to anyone. ... Read more

I had a great experience! I used a unit at this facility for about one year. Pricing is fair, no hidden fees or frequent increases. The unit was clean, dry, and lights in hallway keep unit well lit. There are carts to use and they have an elevator for second floor storage. Some nice feature is keypad and gated access entrance to facility, and security cameras. The only negative thing I can say is the carts are not located near the elevator. Dustin and Eric are very accommodating, great customer service! ... Read more

This is my second storage unit. I chose this place due to the low rates and proximity to our home. We had our unit for less than 2 months when out of the blue I get a notification that they are DOUBLING THE RENT. My last storage unit upped the rent, hence why we moved, but that was after almost 2 years. Doubling the rent after less than 2 months? Immediately cancelled and are moving to a new storage place. ... Read more

I can't say that my experience here was completely terrible. The staff was always friendly, it's climate controlled, and gate entry made me feel safer. There is music playing which made being there by myself feel less creepy. On the other hand it is outrageously expensive and there are only 2 carts to transport your items on. They are never put back and one of them is practically unusable since it is a cart you find at Lowe's to put long pieces of wood on. I had a 10x10 unit and in two years my monthly rent went up $90. Then I was told of another increase that would make my rent $341 a month. So I decided to move to another storage company with a bigger unit that is also climate controlled and I am saving $254 a month! Upon moving out I discovered mouse poop on my furniture in two different spots in the unit. I was not storing food just furniture and clothing. This was highly disappointing due to how much I was paying for the unit. ... Read more

Had a unit here for a few years. Started off pretty cheap but price increased every couple months. Started off like $80-$90 a month for a 5x10. By the time we moved, we were paying $140 a month. The place was disgusting as well. Last time I was there there was a Vaseline container open with nasty dirt and stuff in it but he elevator. A vaporub container that someone drove over in the parking lot. There were chicken bones on the ground. And half the time the motion sensor lights wouldn’t work. Customer service was okay but not great. I do not recommend this place. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
