Read some helpful reviews of Prime Storage (PA09) at 915 Carlisle Road, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Management is terrible and don't know how to handle conflict professionally. The woman there is rude and acts like we are an inconvenient to her. When my husband and I attempted to go in and tell her about a fellow tenant blocking our unit with tables, she was in the middle of god knows what and when she saw us she flailed her arms out as if we were inconviencing her. I attempted to access my unit again three times this week and today I decided to call because this man has been blocking the units all week. I was met with annoyance and hostility. Do yourself a favor, don't rent here unless you're okay with management treating you this way. ... Read more

I’ve been working with Marianne for the last two years at Prime Storage and she has been phenomenal to work with. We are a non-profit organization with a lot of changing storage needs and she has been very accommodating and kind. We love this storage unit and have pretty much consolidated our storage needs here. They have great units that have interior lighting. We wholeheartedly recommend this storage facility to others in need of storage. ... Read more

Disappointing Experience – Would Strongly Advise Against Renting Here We rented a temperature-controlled unit at Prime Storage to temporarily store a sectional couch between moves. The unit was rented on a Sunday and by the following Wednesday we returned to find it had sustained significant water damage due to a poorly executed ceiling repair that failed to prevent rain intrusion. As a result, our couch was completely ruined. It’s clear this issue was known prior to our rental, as evidence of a previous repair attempt was visible. This reflects a serious lack of transparency and due diligence on Prime Storage’s part. While we do carry renter’s insurance, this situation should not fall on our policy to resolve. This was a result of negligence, not accidental damage, and could impact our premiums going forward. Prime’s proposed resolution was offering just half a month’s rent ($37.50) which was grossly inadequate given the value of the damages. Additionally, efforts to escalate the matter beyond the front desk staff have been unsuccessful, leaving us frustrated and without a proper channel for resolution. I have seen prior responses to reviews suggesting that customers call a provided number to resolve their concerns. However, in our case, this was not effective. This review comes only after all reasonable attempts to resolve the issue directly with Prime Storage have been exhausted. We expected better accountability and professionalism. Based on our experience we absolutely do not recommend Prime Storage and caution others to explore more reliable alternatives! ... Read more

I stored a reclining couch and chair, a bookcase and a portable air conditioner here for a year. When I went to retrieve my items everything was covered in mouse feces. Everything was a total loss and the employee has the nerve to say "well, maybe you can just clean it. It doesn't look that bad". And then I had to pay to have someone haul it to the incinerator. I'm now out thousands of dollars between the contents of the unit, paying to store it and paying to haul it away. I filed an insurance claim and got $500, but even that took a month. I'd donate or throw my items away before wasting $113 a month to store them here. Disgusting!! ... Read more

This has been a disaster. I originally thought it was a great idea to choose this company because they seemed very compassionate and put my homelessness aside and gave me a chance at first. I have been trying to maintain this unit for at least 2 years and in this time, when I tried to communicate possible late payments my locks were cut and my unit was still set to auction multiple times anyways. I’ve tried to explain that it did not make sense I would be charged so much but in them having control of the last of my things I paid whatever I had to just to keep my things okay. Two months ago I was finally ahead, today I will have my unit auctioned off anyway since it’s turned into a $440 bill and the only “working with me” is having me pay $300 which I don’t currently have or lose my unit anyways. At two months and at $70 a month how it turned into almost $500 again blows my mind away and previously when I attempted to make partial payments to avoid getting slammed with all these extra fees and late fees and processing fees and extra charges I was denied. They only accept full payments (and not of the original debt but including all of the fees and charges) & they have even suspended my ability to pay over the phone(which is difficult for me to travel from York to lancaster with no transportation but doesn’t seem to matter when it also costs money to travel) and despite how much I have pleaded for them to come up with some sort of resolve the last of my things will be sold anyways. I am highly upset that there is absolutely nothing I can do about this and I know all of my things will be thrown out because they’re all MY things and don’t really have any value to anyone but me. Nobody will be able to replace the daddy books I have that are the only thing I have of my children that they made me and if any of my documentation is thrown out it already took me over 3 1/2 years to get my passport before since I was born in a different country. If my birth certificate or anything else that is actually important is destroyed or lost how will I ever fix this? Moral of the story. No one cares. When your customers become completely unimportant and irrelevant it will inevitably make your company unimportant and irrelevant when no one wants to do business with you because of how you treat the people that you are successful because of. I never would have paid so much if I knew it would end like this. I would have just taken everything else and put my things somewhere safe because that was the entire point I got the unit in the first place. None of my things are safe and now will just become garbage and your office might not care about me or my things but maybe this review will help people make better informed decisions as to who they should or in this case SHOULDN’T choose for storage for their most important things. I am devastated 100% ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Prime Storage (PA09) - 915 Carlisle Road has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Truck Rentals, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Credit Cards Accepted, Online Payment and RV Storage. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
