Do not trust this facility. They will try to steal or sale your property. I left my travel trailer at the Four Seasons Boat and RV storage for a year. I paid my fees on time through an automatic payment draft. I periodically checked on my travel trailer. I had physically seen my travel trailer on July 2, 2021. On July 13, 2021, I went into the storage facility in the evening to drop off some of my things to store in my travel trailer. My travel trailer was not anywhere on the storage facilities' property. I contacted the management for the storage facility and was told to check in the morning. I went first thing in morning to speak with management and was told they had no idea what had happened. I was told they would have to check camera recordings for the past two weeks. I told them I was going to file a police report. 30 minutes after I had left the storage unit and while I was at the police station, the management from the storage unit contacted me by phone and informed me that they knew what had happened. They stated the travel trailer was not in it's assigned area and they did not know who the travel trailer belonged to. They had supposedly contacted Port Royal Sheriff's office to run the license plate and were unable to locate the current owner, only the original owner of travel trailer. While I was at the police station, they were able to look up my travel trailer's license plate and the current owners name appeared, so the storage unit was lying about trying to contact the owner. On my storage unit contract I have my license plate, my name, my phone, my father's name, my father's address, and my father's phone number, that they could have used to contact me at anytime. I also did not have a notification on my travel trailer informing me of them trying to contact me. They told me they would compensate me for the sale of my travel trailer. After telling them what I wanted for the sale of my travel trailer, they then called me back and stated they had found my travel trailer and would bring it back in two weeks. I had to write them a legal letter to have my travel trailer back within the week. I did get my travel trailer back, but they had removed the mattress, the license plate, and the trailer hitch stand. Do not use the facility to store your property, you may not get your property back. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.

To open your storage unit door, start by unlocking it, whether it uses a traditional padlock or a Bluetooth-enabled smart lock. Once unlocked, grab the bottom handle and lift or pull up the roll-up door until it’s fully open.

If you’re using the unit for the first time, make sure the lock is properly removed before opening the door to avoid damage.

Security helps protect your belongings while they’re in storage and gives you peace of mind between visits. Many self storage facilities use a combination of features such as video surveillance, gated access, on-site management, and well-lit premises to help deter unauthorized access.

At Four Seasons Self Storage - 374 Parris Island Gateway, available security amenities may include Security Camera, Gate, designed to help keep your items protected.

Yes, most standard vehicles can be stored in self storage units. A 10x20 unit typically provides enough space for a car, while outdoor or designated parking areas may be available for larger vehicles.

For safety reasons, most self storage facilities restrict certain items. These commonly include:
