We had two units in this business. Both costing up to $300 dollars. Our current rent is $173. I went to the storage facility on 7/3 the air conditioning was broken- the 4000 unit smelled like trash. When I walked down to talk to the office- after calling and being put on hold... they told me they were going to put a maintenance order in. I asked when that would be looked at and I was told it's up to the owners. They didn't seem to care that our belongings were in a hott smelly building. Normal people apologize and sympathize with your customers. Flies were buzzing around and when I mentioned that I was told people have been in there all day and no one complained. I have been to that facility 50 times over the course of a year and have never complained. It smelled horrible and was not climate controlled. I asked for some sort of email stating they Put the work order in... the wouldn't send anything or do a follow up. It was really disappointing as that building was so hot compared to the 3000 unit. We have belongings in there that mean a lot to us. There were also dead bugs everywhere which is better then live bugs- the previous manager always kept the facility clean. Also the log was left engaged so anyone could had gotten in. In the past when the door was held open too long management would come down and say it cannot be propped open other wise the alarm is alerted. ... Read more

Horrible storage facility. Been there bout 3 or 4 years. Its literally went from the low 100s to low 200s for the same unit. Never any contact or heads up. Just take it out of your account. This year alone. From 155 to 186 to 205. Im finding another unit. This place is dusty and never clean. The units arent even closed in. The top of them is just chicken wire. Horrible service. Nobody ever answers the phone. Even the uhauls are ran down. If you dont want your stuff covered in dust while you pay 2x what the units worth, go elsewhere!! ... Read more

I walked into Storage Sense one day inquiring about a 10x10 temperature controlled unit and two days later I was signing a contract. Wendy at the front showed me to units to see the size, gave all pricing info and any pertinent information regarding hours and access. It was a seamless process and they were very communicative throughout the whole thing. ... Read more

We have had a storage unit here for 4 yrs!! When we first rented it it was $150.00 a month then it jumped to $165.00!!!! Then this morning they charge our card $186.00!!! What is going on here? No notice of rent going up!! There's days you can't get in them bc of weather!! But we don't get compensation for any of that? No just rent going up with no explanation!!! It was 2 or 3 weeks recently we couldn't get in them bc of weather, did the offer us credit for that? NO!!! Why did my rent go up $21.00? We need to know ... Read more

I generally liked storage sense and never had an issue with them. I recently cleaned out my storage a couple months ago, and today my wife and I was charged $163 for a storage we haven’t occupied in 2 months. We have both been calling the store, and she took a lunch break and went to the store only to see that NO ONE answers the phone and NO ONE is in the office. I’m so pissed, I won’t ever deal with them again and I want my dang on money back. These new people in office is the absolute worst. ... Read more

Met with Mandy or Misty (cant remember her name) from Duncan store. She was filling in at my location. She was so kind and helpful. I was there getting a store unit for my mother who just lost most of her home due to Hurricane Helene. It really helped that Mandy or Misty was there with a smile. Great customer service. ... One star for convenience. I was holding off on writing this review since I do have an open case with them. Some time between December 2023 and January 2024 my storage unit was broken into. I was not alerted of this. I thought my items were safe and I had full confidence in these people and this facility. Due to the gross negligence and lack of patrolling and even making sure locks were still in place my unit was robbed. They took anything valuable. They stole my documents with all of my personal information in it. They stole my late mother’s items. Items and memories I’ll never get back. They stole over 3k worth of photography equipment that I can’t fully get replaced because the limit of insurance is 3k nothing more. Nothing less. They stole medical equipment. My custom strawberry dress that was $450 +. They stole my custom cardigan that was over $200. No telling what else was taken. I was told the time frame they had some break ins by a Caucasian man with the words “HA HA HA” tattooed across their face who abuses substances. Said that this person discovered that my unit amongst several hit a blind spot of their cameras ( why is there any blind spots. May want to get that fixed. And from what I see it has not been fixed.) and my unit was targeted. My unit is/was 1107 so good luck if you have one on that row. Said they would break in through the back door because the lock was janky. Why? I live in west Texas. Over a days drive away. I can’t pop in here and check on my items. I shouldn’t have to. NO ONE CALLED ME TO ALERT ME OF THIS. From my understanding a police statement wasn’t done either. I had to do one myself. I was told since I had a padlock it was easy to break… how am I to know that. Why wasn’t I advised to just buy a lock from them? Was a few days late with my payment. Life happens and I expected to pay a late fee. But I could never get through to explain that I would be paying. They had already cut my lock. Threw the lock in my unit and basically said eff me. Feels almost like it’s something they look forward to doing. I’m not sure how it works in the storage world. But my unit was said to be in the beginning of auction but they can stop it. Now I’m confused because I’m thinking they maybe got first dibs on items in storage units. I have nothing to base off of this. Just a theory. Why would some random man take a fat girls dress? A custom one at that. I moved to Texas and I had the impression that I would be coming back to get my items when I visit my oncologist out here. To say I’m devastated is an understatement. I’m here at my unit close to tears sitting here writing this in front of my unit that I bought in confidence. I’ve sent them two people to store their items here. I’ve attached photos of the ceiling. Why is their no cameras here? If theirs one near the entries how did a criminal on drugs get in. I’m just so upset PLEASE LOOK ELSEWHERE ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
