This review is no reflection on the local branch at Hwy 57 and 9 in Little River, SC. The staff there are awesome and very responsive. They keep and maintain the storage location very well. I could not be more pleased with the local crew. However, the cooperate policies is another matter altogether. I am leaving this review as a one start because of cooperate policies and I want to discourage anyone and everyone from renting from this location or any location managed by Public Storage Cooperate. We are moving out at the end of February. The reason I am moving out, even though I have been a client since 2021 before Public Storage bought out my storage local storage company, if you all keep raising my rate. I don't understand why you give special pricing to people who have never rented from you and screw over those of us who have been with you for a long time. I will not recommend that anyone use you for storage. You will lose more funds that you would have gained by treating me fairly. You get what you give. ... Read more

Shane was your representative covering this location. WOW, I’m 78 years old and constantly it seems everyone now a days has an attitude. And I mean a bad attitude. How nice to have Shane there for me today. From the greeting at the front door, to answering every question you could tell he knew his job and knew the company software, forms, etc. to make it a great experience. You should make a video of him in action and show it to new hires. On how to treat the customer and navigate the company forms and procedures. 5 stars are not enough said. You are lucky to him him in your employ. Treat him well, make him a training manager and money talks sometimes to keep the great not ready to walk. Also this facility is immaculate, thank you, Guy Lindwall ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
