I’ve rented from here twice. The first time was excellent. The second time, recently, had some minor issues. I specifically wanted conditioned storage. The initial unit I was assigned to was in a part of the building that had a broken HVAC unit. I had to call several people to finally get transferred to a conditioned unit, and I had to pay extra. I then needed to get a second unit to temporarily store things for a month. At first, it was fine. When I went back two weeks later, the whole wing of the second unit had a very powerful cigarette smoke odor. I went back three days later and the odor was still there. Bottom line, check the units before you commit to one. ... Read more

At first this place was very friendly and easy to work with HOWEVER, after not even being in this unit for a month and a half I had to move properties unexpectedly since my unit was broken into somehow. My lock was still in tack but when I opened my unit my things were EVERYWHERE and a family heirloom destroyed. I called police and they said this is a common occurance at the property on S Blackstock. Police told me they are getting into the unit beside you, crawling over in the space up top and rummaging through looking for valuables. When I called Stacy the office manager she laughed saying it wasn't true and then asked if I was sure my unit was broken into. VERY UNSAFE PROPERTY - DO NOT RENT THERE. UPDATE - someone did call me from the company and said I would get my money back but that hasn't happened and its been almost 2 weeks and they aren't calling me back either. once again DO NOT RENT FROM THEM! ... Worst experience ever!!! Friday night I had to drive there with a loaded 26Ft truck with a lot of tired people only be given the wrong location, wrong access code! Had to call the after hours line on to be sent to an already rented unit, did I mention it was the wrong location given to me by their property manager! So supervisor calls say go to the other location I will stay on the phone with you while you go there and check! Mind you it’s costing me fuel mile each time that 26 ft truck moves! Get to the other location gate wide open! Great after a few turns finally arrive at the suppose it unit! Well let’s just say I pulled out called public storage which accommodated my needs. Horrible experience!! ... Read more

The paperwork was easy. I called several times and visited twice and each time she and the GM was helpful and patient. Great service. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.

To open your storage unit door, start by unlocking it, whether it uses a traditional padlock or a Bluetooth-enabled smart lock. Once unlocked, grab the bottom handle and lift or pull up the roll-up door until it’s fully open.

If you’re using the unit for the first time, make sure the lock is properly removed before opening the door to avoid damage.

Security helps protect your belongings while they’re in storage and gives you peace of mind between visits. Many self storage facilities use a combination of features such as video surveillance, gated access, on-site management, and well-lit premises to help deter unauthorized access.

At Storage Rentals of America - 111 South Blackstock Road, available security amenities may include Security Camera, Gate, designed to help keep your items protected.

Yes, most standard vehicles can be stored in self storage units. A 10x20 unit typically provides enough space for a car, while outdoor or designated parking areas may be available for larger vehicles.

For safety reasons, most self storage facilities restrict certain items. These commonly include:

    • Hazardous, flammable, or toxic materials
    • Perishable food
    • Live plants or animals
    • Cash, firearms, or irreplaceable valuables

Always check with the facility at 111 South Blackstock Road for specific restrictions and recommendations.
