Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

There was a 10 × 10 unit advertised online and subsequently in my email for $143/month and $1 first month. This seemed like a better deal than the $155 they raised my rent to for the same size unit at the same facility. However when I initially tried to rent the new unit online, they did not honor the $1 first month rent that was advertised online, without a star or other indicator of notification that said first month's rate only applied to certain individuals. Someone from the facility then called me and said advertised rate for the first month's rent would be honored, but then declined to apply it because I currently rent there. I let them know I would be leaving this review and here it is. I would like to receive the $1 first month's rent as indicated without qualification online and in my email and haul all my stuff to a new unit exactly like the one I am currently renting now (that somehow costs more than the new one would cost!). After screwing me over and charging me more for my unit than new customers are charged, and declining to honor the pricing referenced in my email and online, the rep told me to have a great day. I hope you enjoy this review and have a great rest of your day as well. ?? I will be happy to remove this review if and when public storage treats me fairly and resolves my problem. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.
