Read some helpful reviews of Go Store It at 8810 Dallas Hallow Road, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

dosent even deserve the one star. with in my first and only year here my rent went up not once but twice. when we called to ask why it was for “maintenance upkeep” EVERY SINGLE time we would go get something from my building or put something in the gates would be open, not only the gates but the door into the not so climate controlled part. maintenance upkeep where? when we called to move out they told us “we didn’t want to do that” excuse me what who says that as a business standpoint? and when i moved out ALL of my clothes were damp in this “climate controlled environment” save your self time and money and do not waste your money with these people ... If I could give a ZERO rating, I would. Absolutely, horrible customer service. There have been three incidents concerning my storage unit. Several water events and damage. After the last event, customer service representative was useless. They offered no help to address the situation and took no responsibility for the damage. They told me to just clean it up and file the insurance claim. When I initially rented a 10x15 indoor unit from Total Storage, the conditions and customer service were good. I liked the ability to drive my vehicle into the building and the temperature and humidity control. They had someone on site to help with any incidents. Then it was sold to Go Store It. This is a big corporate company from out of state. Then everything started going downhill. The rates started going up every six months. Now I am paying over $200 a month. Since I was on auto pay, I did not pay much attention to the rate hikes. In addition, they have no on-site staff to communicate issues and provide oversite of the facility. Reaching a customer service representative by phone is nearly impossible. I had to go to the old office area and use their virtual computer manager. Finally, after waiting almost 10 minutes, someone came online to try to address the problems. Later, someone called from a call center that was overseas, I could barely understand what he was saying. This is completely unacceptable. As reported by other reviews, the roll-up door and back gate have remained broken for several months, both still have not been fixed. Also, a previous burst pipe damaged several units, including mine. The combination of the burst pipe and the ongoing high humidity and temperature led to mold growth on items within the units. Based on the lack of timely maintenance, compromised security due to open rollup gates, management's inability to rectify recurring issues, and poor communication, I absolutely cannot recommend Go Store It (Hixson). The latest event and the continuing maintenance issues were the last straw. I am cancelling my storage agreement and moving my stored items to another facility. ... Read more

This is not climate controlled as it states. I was supposed August 11th. When I went to get location finish signing everything the garage doors were opened. I went by several times to check and all day for a couple of days they stayed open. I went in to speak to someone and was told a work order was put in and I would get a call back. That never happened continuously drove by and the doors are still open. Went back in and was told they are waiting on a tech. Fast forward to now September 5th and one door is still open it is very humid and hot inside the “climate co trolled” building. I have since been charged 2 months of insurance and a $35 charge I do not know what it is. Tried contacting them again and get a message they will return my call. Mind you I still have not moved anything because I need CLIMATE CONTROLLED facility. I had only put some empty boxes in hoping they would fix the issue and I could move but NO LUCK! I hope all you folks paying for climate control do not have items stored that will be damaged because it is most definitely NOT. ... Read more

This is a terrible storage facility. My price went up twice in a year. The door to the facility keeps getting damaged or broken thus it isn’t climate controlled. There is no one onsite to manage the site it is a virtual facility. So that means very little help, no one onsite for any immediate physical problems, and no one to maintain the site (bug, bugs, and bugs) Items in my unit suffered moisture damage. ... Read more

Classic BAIT & SWITCH. Deceptive business practices, lack of professionalism and poor management. Moved our stuff into a unit 2 mo ago and got a notice that rent is going up from $120 to $192. After 2 months! The $120 was NOT an introductory rate but was and is advertised as the regular rate. They also added insurance, even after we provided documents that showed we had proper coverage. On top of that, the gate and the climate controlled doors have been broken and open since we moved in. They don't have staff on site and can only be contacted thru a call center. Our concerns have never been addressed and we never received a call back from management. We will be filing a formal complaint with the FTC and the BBB, and encourage everyone else to do the same. ... Read more

Was great when we moved in with a great rate for about four months. Gate always seems to be open there - so much for secure. Propane tanks were stolen from my camper right after they raised my rates. Notified them that I was moved out and they billed me again then threatened a lien. Asked for manager to call me after calling at least two times - never got a call from manager - unacceptable. ... I would not even have give them one star I have been in this property for 15 years by monthly rate has continued to rise not only that I cleaned my unit out and when I did, the back of my unit was wet the girl tells me that I owe money of $13 Due to not being out on the first on the first of the month before that my unit had a red lock on it because my rent was due on the first which was a Saturday they’re not open this company that has this is the worst. The door to the climate control has been broke for months if you look up When you go in climate control it’s leaking everywhere if people are not They do not know that their units are wet very hard to deal with like I said I’ve been there 15 years for climate control and it is no more climate control than any place that you put in your backyard ... The Hixson location is horrible! Started out great! They’ve gone up on the rent - I was paying 190$/mo… now my same unit is listed at 140$ online but time being charged $240/mo for climate controlled, but yet, for 3+ mos the garage door has been broken and doesn’t even close, so not only is our unit not climate controlled… it’s not secured like I’m paying for, the gate is open (and when it’s not, it often doesn’t work and one gate doesn’t even close fully) and the garage door stays wide open ALL the time! When will the garage door be fixed and how can I get the same rate as what’s being offered online!!?? When will my climate controlled unit be climate controlled!!?? I’ve tried calling multiple times, can’t speak to anyone. No one’s in the office or the ones I do speak to, don’t know what’s going on with the status of the garage door. Fix this! And offer everyone the same rates as what’s listed online! ... Read more

This place seemed perfect... So, then they went up on price... We didn't think to much about that (everything is going up). Now, the main door to the Climate controlled area is not working and hasn't been fixed. We have photographs and momentos in our Unit. Now we don't have climate control. This has been going on for at least a couple of months! I do not want my things ruined! FIX THE DOOR or we will find a other storage company! My next action WILL be the BBB.. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Go Store It - 8810 Dallas Hallow Road has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Indoor, 24 hour access, Drive-Up Access, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Contactless Renting, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Enclosed, First Floor Access, Multi-Level Storage, Online Payment and RV Storage. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The storage units offered by Go Store It - 8810 Dallas Hallow Road can satisfy all of your storage needs. Different sizes here range from 20 to 310 square feet. You can go for smaller units if you don't have a lot of items to store, while choosing a larger space is recommended in case you need to store a lot of furniture, bigger items or even vehicles.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

Storage units offered by Go Store It - 8810 Dallas Hallow Road come at a variety of prices, starting from $17 per month for typically smaller units. However, larger spaces can set you back up to $295 a month.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
