I have never had the pleasure of working with staff as much as this location, and I know this is a storage facility! These guys are great. Always have access and never had had any issues. If they need something, every once in a while, I get a friendly reminder or call by the sweetest lady. My family has been a customer for a couple years now, and we are not looking at changing that any time soon! Keep up the good work Red Barn! ... Read more

I think a 1 star rating is too high for this establishment. This establishment does not seem to be very people friendly. I was greeted in the parking spot with so much hostility from Betsy today because I parked in the handicap parking spot for about 10 minutes. Now mind you, my vehicle has DV (disabled veterans) plates and my handicap placard was hanging cleaely on my mirror. I began to get a lecture from Betsy that this is private property and that parking spot was deemed for the handicap and the disabled. Now I asked Betsy where does it state that this is private property parking and she points at all the parking spots. I then educate Betsy that the parking spots that she speaks of are clearly marked on the building, not where i parked, and not in the handicap parking area. I took the liberty of providing information to your establishment for the employees who work here so that they are better informed on the Texas Law regarding handicap parking so that employees here are not rude and disrespectful to people over parking spot that they have no knowledge of. https://www.txdmv.gov/motorists/disabled-parking-placards-plates#:~:text=Park%20in%20any%20spot%20designated,the%20disability%20in%20the%20vehicle. Also yall may want to look up "SB 792 - Disabled Veteran Plates and Parking Privileges" with the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles. I left and came back to ask for a supervisor or a manager and Betsy replied, we are not suppose to give out their name or information. What kind of business does not allow you to speak to supervisor or manager? This is definitely a first. I was told I could email them. I was given a generic email address to email them. When I asked who do address the email to, I was to told that she could not provide a name. For those who chose to do business here tread carefully and I will not nor recommend. ... Read more

Don’t use this place. They will hold your belongings ransom and refuse to accept payment with a card. I’ve rented three 10x30 units for 10 months. That’s $600+ per month. I asked them to prorate a move out and they tell me they won’t accept my final payment by card. They are worried I will report them for fraud and win. Their only solution is to charge late fees and accept cashier check only to ensure they can continue their corrupt business. Do not rent here. They will rob you. They charge for insurance that won’t cover anything. Then blame you. They record and monitor phone calls without your knowledge as well. ... Read more

I had a unit in this facility for 8 years. Despite being on auto pay all that time and likely never been late or missed a payment. Now I move out and they charged me ANOTHER $25 because I didn't give them "10 days notice". Every time you turn around this company is looking to make extra money on you. This is thejr Last ditch effort to suck even more money out of people who have been good tenants for years. Questionable pricing and overall business practices. I will avoid any business owned by this person in the future. Good riddance and hopefully this review saves others lots of extra money and sanity. ... Read more

I've been using the Big Red Barn for a few months now and I have been very pleased with them. They are by far the best price around and they offer great service. The storage area and the units are clean and I feel comfortable leaving my belongings there. I also appreciate they are locked facility but still accessible at any time that I need to get to my belongings. Thanks! ... Read more

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.
