There is so much to like about this iStorage in Boerne. Beginning with Kristen, the great manager! She has the customer’s best interests at heart and does everything she can to make sure you get what you need. The large climate controlled unit I needed had just become available at the right time, and she had it ready for me…at a very reasonable price. It is clean, well maintained, pest controlled, secure, and easily accessed. It’s also in a very convenient (for me) location. I would give 10 stars to Kristen and iStorage if that were a choice!! ... Since I rented here they keep raising the prices every other month the price goes up. It’s gone up about $100 in a year. They are also a U-Haul rental place. I made a reservation for a U-Haul truck for sat @ 9:30am a week prior to pick up. I show up to get the truck and no one is there and the office is locked. I wait until 945 and then call uhaul and they finally get a hold of the manager of the location and they tell them they are decided to close for the day and didn’t tell anyone and according to uhaul there are no other trucks available. I call the number on the door and the emergency after hours number but they all go to the same place the parent company support line where you just leave a message and someone will get back to you. They called back an hour later and according to the main office had no idea that they were closed for the day as they didn’t notify them either. I had to cancel my reservation and then call every local store and finally found one that had a truck coming back later in the day. Instead if being able to start my move at 930am I wasn’t able to start until 1pm because this place decided to close for the day and not tell anyone even when people had U-Haul reservations to pick-up. Between the continual price increases and poor customer service I would look elsewhere. ... Read more

Showed up today to rent a 5 x 10 unit and Taylor was very nice during the entire process. From walking in, filling out the paperwork, showing me where my unit was, and taking the time to show me how to lock, unlock, and open and close my unit, he was so helpful! Recommend this place. Super simple! ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.

If you’re using the unit for the first time, make sure the lock is properly removed before opening the door to avoid damage.

Security helps protect your belongings while they’re in storage and gives you peace of mind between visits. Many self storage facilities use a combination of features such as video surveillance, gated access, on-site management, and well-lit premises to help deter unauthorized access.
