Read some helpful reviews of Conroe Self Storage, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

I’ve had my stuff here for years — very convenient auto pay feature, friendly staff, great prices and secure- can’t ask for anything better. I originally planned to store a few things ‘just for a couple of months.. to declutter and, well.. , several years later, everything’s still right where I left it. No leaks, no weird smells, no mystery dust bunnies plotting against me. I have a climate controlled unit and the place is clean, and safe, and I’ve recommended it to more people than I can count (mostly the ones whose garages exploded like mine). Five stars for giving my belongings a better home than my closet ever did! ... Read more

I've rented here for the last 3 years the staff has been really professional as well as easy to deal with. Their pricing is the best I've found from all the storage facilities around conroe and the woodlands. ... Read more

I have had a storage at this facility for just a few weeks and within those weeks this storage facility has been looking amazing more and more everyday! The maintenance guy has been doing an amazing job with painting and cleaning all the leaves in the facility property. I saw some of the reviews that were left trying to give this storage facility a bad name. First off if this facility was such a terrible place to rent from why would you even move in? What I got from the reviews that were saying negative things about the storage facility is that the individuals that wrote them probably couldn’t keep up with their storage rental and was locked out and or lost their belongings. This is no one’s fault but the renters! The management is very kind and takes care of their property! ... Read more

DO NOT RENT HERE. This place is NASTY. The floors of the units are disgusting, covered in oil, dirt, grease. The doors are rusted and corroded. The driveways are full of potholes and all busted up. The SMELL in the unit? Wow. There are what appears to be homeless people living in the units on the weekends when the office is closed. They park their cars in front of their units, go inside, close the door and do who knows what in there. But worse than how gross, trashy, and unsafe this place is... the management is even more obnoxious and rude. Imagine the type of person that would own a place like this. Just like that. That is exactly how they behave. There's far nicer, safer, cleaner, and less expensive storage in the area. Go somewhere else. Anywhere else. ... Read more

Honestly don't waste ur time if u are on a scheduled time frame cause they will leave an unknown lock on ur unit after u just bought it for over a week and they don't answer the phone or are hardly in the office be sure to check the gate code cause the gate barely works, I guess that's what u get when u rent from the location close to the hood......so unprofessional!!!! ... Rented a unit online 2 months ago just to find out couldn't access for 2 more days till the office opened. Called the office requesting money back explaining we have not taken possession because couldn't access for 2 days. They said they'd reimburse and all would be taken care of. Had to get our bank involved and still dealing with it. They wouldn't even get 1 star but don't have the choice of no stars. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.

If you’re storing durable items like tools or outdoor gear, a standard unit may be sufficient. When in doubt, climate control offers added protection and peace of mind.

The facility at 313 Post Oak Drive offers 24/7 access, allowing you to visit your unit at your convenience.

If you’re using the unit for the first time, make sure the lock is properly removed before opening the door to avoid damage.

Security helps protect your belongings while they’re in storage and gives you peace of mind between visits. Many self storage facilities use a combination of features such as video surveillance, gated access, on-site management, and well-lit premises to help deter unauthorized access.

Yes, most standard vehicles can be stored in self storage units. A 10x20 unit typically provides enough space for a car, while outdoor or designated parking areas may be available for larger vehicles.
