Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage at 3251 North I-35, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

Not the best time renting here. The day I moved out the line was backed up with people doing the same. I was paying close to $100 for the smallest unit they offer and no that was not my starting rate, to access the facility 24/7 was an additional $20 on top of all the fees, the access codes were difficult to use, entrance gate stayed broken, only 4 spots to park once inside, and to top it off my personal lock was prematurely cut off for a late payment that was paid within the month it was due and I was told I had to pay an additional $24 for the replacement they provided or give it back. I’ve only stored with public storage my entire life but this experience had led me to seek other storages. RENT AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! ... Read more

This is the cleanest storage facility I have ever been to. I have not seen any bugs or signs of mice at this facility. The staff is amazing and very accommodating. I dont know the man's name who was there today but he is the best. I have worked with him a few times now and he is great. ... Read more

Let's start with "by the door" there's only TWO doors. They're automatic so that's nice but if more than ONE family is loading it is an absolute hassle. Only 4 parking spaces. Inside spots are nice and all if you can physically get there. There's only one entrance and one exit through a big garage like door. I understand needing the code to get inside obviously but you also need a code to get out. The guy who works there Jose is rude. He acts like like you're stupid because you don't know how things work. He wouldn't let my 15 yr old get a cart to help move so I had to waste 10 minutes going to get a cart. He came out several times just to bother us. Definitely unsatisfied with the price I am paying for the place (the units are big!) but the climate control is like 80°. Hard to access. Unhelpful staffing. Overall wouldn't recommend it. ... Read more

I cannot access to my unit during my access hour. I came around 7:40 PM on 8/16/2025 (the access hour of this store is 6am-9pm every day). The front door was broken for a while and the exit door is the only way to get in and out during the access hour. However, when I came on that day the back door was closed too. I didn’t receive any email or any notification about this change. I would give this one zero star or even minus one if google have it. This is unacceptable ... Read more

Renting the space online was pretty easy...However, once I showed up to begin moving my stuff in, there was NO equipment available to help get things up to the 4th floor. Nothing was mentioned online about not having a cart or any other equipment to help. They use to have carts outside the elevators, if o would've known they took them away I would've rented elsewhere. Very inconvenient to have to make so many trips. ... Read more

Going into my storage to discover that I had water damage to several different items because of the aftermath of the snow storm was very upsetting and to find out it happened because the office personnel did not have the proper equipment to prevent the water from getting in my storage is very disheartening ESPECIALLY when I paid $304.00 a month. I lost a lot of important things because of this. It's bad enough that I had to deal with my unit being blocked all the time because of moving trucks, but to loose my property due to the lack of resources for the office personnel is pathetic!! And the insurance company has the audacity to give me a hard time. ... Read more

Only complaint was the elevators were busy and a bit far from my unit. I love my unit. It's clean and secure. Two gentlemen in the office were so helpful with finding me a dolly to use and friendly. I was able to waive the insurance due to my homeowners coverage. ... Read more

This is the worst possible location of Public Storage you can rent from, I suggest you use the one a mile away. There’s a reason these ratings are so much lower. Management is very hostile and will demand payment even if you already moved out, they are completely unwilling to be decent or understanding, and there’s theft issues on top of them rarely being available to give you carts which there are only 2 of. The older lady in the office is the only redeeming quality this place has. But I wouldn’t trust them with your important belongings. I was already moved out and they still called trying to extort money from me, after failing to verify my vacancy ahead of time. Rented with them for 2 years and it’s been the most insulting and humiliating experience I’ve had with a business. I will be filing complaints with the BBB. This isn’t how you should treat customers who’ve been loyal for so long just to profit a small $166. Not to mention them suddenly raising storage fees by 28% while making no improvements to anything. $125 to $166 for a 10x15. ... Read more

Frequently Asked Questions

There is a wide array of amenities available for the storage units that Public Storage - 3251 North I-35 has to offer. These amenities include Climate-Controlled, Indoor, Retail Available, Onsite Manager, Security Camera, Gate, Parking, Multi-Level Storage and Online Payment. Most of these amenities can prove to be very useful depending on what you need to store. For example, climate-controlled units can come in handy for keeping sensitive items, drive-up access can make your loading and unloading process easier, and extra security measures will ensure your items are kept safe at all times.

The unit size that you should choose obviously depends on how much stuff you need to store. On the one hand, you should think of smaller units (5'x5' or 5'x10') as closets – they can be used to store chairs, lamps, moving boxes and sports equipment, along with smaller pieces of furniture, books and documents.

On the other hand, the 10'x10' and 10'x15' spaces are good for storing larger items of furniture, bicycles and a larger number of possessions. If you need even more space, then 10'x20' and 10'x30' units can easily accommodate the contents of an entire 3- or 4-bedroom house.

We know that when it comes to self storage, there is nothing more important than quickness and accessibility. Drive-up access is an extremely convenient amenity, as you can park your vehicle right next to your unit, making it significantly easier to load and unload the items you will use storage for. However, drive-up storage units tend to be outdoors, so you might consider indoor storage spaces with climate control if you're looking to keep temperature-sensitive items in peak condition.

Yes, you might, depending on what you need to put in storage. Climate-controlled spaces keep temperatures and humidity levels consistent all the time, which means they are perfect for storing sensitive items. Seeing that a whole host of things can be damaged by varying temperatures and excessive moisture, many people choose to rent climate-controlled units for personal items such as documents, photographs, paintings, collectibles, electronics, wooden furniture, antiques and even vehicles. If you're looking to store such items that are valuable to you, consider renting a climate-controlled unit!
