I don’t usually take the time to write reviews, but this one is well deserved. Dick, the manager at Curio Self-Storage, is hands down one of the most professional, reliable, and genuinely caring people I’ve ever dealt with. From day one, he went above and beyond—not just doing his job, but actually making sure everything was handled smoothly, efficiently, and with a level of respect you don’t see often anymore. He communicates clearly, stays on top of everything, and treats customers like real people, not just another number. You can tell he takes pride in what he does, and it shows in how well the facility is run. Clean, organized, secure—and most importantly, managed by someone who actually cares. If every business had someone like Dick running the show, the world would be a much better place. Highly recommend this location strictly because of him. ... Read more

Well they are now the new company to take over for the storage units that I’ve had for years now. And they have raised the prices already since taking over and there are no new services or improvements to the property so what exactly is the reason for the new price increases. Oh just to gouge those of us that actually do pay our monthly bills. ... Read more

Employees have been very nice and helpful. We moved from another state and needed a storage unit. We sent a truck ahead of us to load the storage unit. However when we arrived at a later date, we were absolutely shocked at how little the driving space is between isles. I have no idea how a 26 foot moving truck was able to maneuver. We had trouble with our F-150. I don't know how we'll be able to move out of the storage when the time comes. So, be aware of locations with very tight isles! ... Read more

Storage Scam I had a storage unit with DFW SELF STORAGE in Desoto. I admit that I got behind. On December 27 She text and said you haven't made a pymt in 2 months were going auction your storage if you don't pay by January 8. I said I get paid 1-5 I can pay then. So I paid $340 on 1-5 for a storage unit that cost $50 per month. When I went to get my stuff out on the 31st it was gone. I explained the combination was on all the correct numbers except the last digit. Plus it was swept out. She said I gave my family the code and it must have been them. I explained I did not. I called the police who never came but advised me to send a certified 10 day letter to the storage company. I have a series of text from this lady that proves she took my stuff AND my money. She even admitted the stuff was auctioned on 12-18 and also took my money on 1-5. She sent me the money back But my item were worth more than 340. ... Read more
