Read some helpful reviews of Public Storage, shared by real renters with genuine experiences and honest opinions.

My wife and I have rented at the Public Storage for one year without any issues or complaints. The hallways have always been clean and furthermore the staff have always been helpful. In particular, Ms. Casondra took plenty of her time to help us tour the location and find a storage space that was right for us when we needed to upgrade. We truly appreciate her and her guidance! ... Read more

Tanisha is the best customer service representative I’ve ever had, I walked in with no idea what to do with trying to get a better space inside the storage facility becuase I had booked over the phone and the guy did not listen to anything I had to say but as soon as I got here Tanisha fix me right up! I am very appreciative of her hardworking and great attitude ... Read more

I don’t usually write reviews, but I felt it was important to share this on behalf of The Basics of Life, our nonprofit organization. When I returned to Public Storage after clearing out our unit the day before, there was some initial confusion around access and potential charges. Admittedly, it caught me off guard but what stood out most was how Tanisha chose to handle the situation. Rather than letting misunderstandings turn into conflict, Tanisha took a moment to listen and reassess. She ultimately ensured that we weren’t charged any unnecessary fees, and that act of fairness meant a great deal. Her professionalism, patience, and grace in that moment turned the entire experience around. Tanisha’s decision to lead with understanding didn’t just resolve a concern, it left a lasting impression. At The Basics of Life, we believe in acknowledging people who choose the higher road, and today, that was Tanisha. Thank you for showing integrity when it mattered. — The Basics of Life ... Read more

Mr. Bryant has been the best manager here so far. I appreciate his patience and professionalism every time we enter he's always gone above and beyond to help us get what we need to take care of our business we've had multiple units there for more than a year and we've always got an exceptional customer service from him to the point he's often dropped everything he was doing to assist us. Thank you for all your help! ... Read more

this is the worst storage unit in the world. Please do not waste your time or money. First things first there’s always homeless People inside, looking to steal your stuff. Not only that this place is in the middle of the ghetto. The unit next to me had bugs and got into my unit, ruining most of my stuff. The office said that there was nothing they could do. They are the worst communicators and barely contact you. And if you try to contact them, they will never pick up the phone. ... Read more

Update: They were kind enough to refund me, and called to let me know the building was cleaned and sprayed. Got my space yesterday, and was full of black widows. Went to the office and the lady assigned me a new unit, well it has black widows as well. So I lost my money, today I returned the space. Unfortunately I can't tolerate spiders even worse if I know they can be dangerous. Location is spacious, looks clean and has great offers. Employees were really nice and kind, they even call trying to help. ... Read more

I’ve been here for two months. I was on auto pay at $48 for a 5x7 storage. First month was suppose to be free but they charge you anyhow. I wasn’t too bothered by the false advertisement but this 3rd month was almost twice the amount at $85! Also when I went to my storage last week I noticed ROACHES!!! I was utterly disgusted!! Customer service didn’t seem to care they said it’s called a rent increase!! Wow, I’m going back to Extra space storage on McCart. It’s across town but I was there for a year, didn’t have roach issues or “rent increase”. ... Read more

    Frequently Asked Questions

The right storage unit size depends on what you plan to store and how much space you need to move around your items.

5x5 or 5x10 units are great for smaller loads, such as chairs, lamps, small furniture pieces, boxes, books, and documents.

10x10 or 10x15 units work well for larger furniture, bicycles, appliances, and the contents of a small apartment.

10x20 or 10x30 units can typically fit the contents of a three-bedroom home, including large furniture and multiple appliances.

If you’re unsure which size is best, a unit size calculator can help estimate the right fit based on the items you’re planning to store – helping you avoid paying for more space than you need.

Climate-controlled storage units maintain consistent temperature and humidity levels, helping protect items from damage caused by heat, cold, or excess moisture.

You may want climate control if you’re storing items that can be sensitive to temperature changes, such as furniture, clothing, appliances, paperwork, photographs, artwork, electronics, or wood and leather goods. These units are especially useful for long-term storage or in areas with hot summers, cold winters, or high humidity.
